MAG midcap mags.

I've heard that magpul magazines are one of the best out There but they are a little to expensive for me right now and I've heard from Ron that echo1 midcaps are very good as well but currently everybody is out of stock. I've noticed that MAG is pretty cheap but I need to know how reliable are they. Also I'm shooting a G&G GR16. Let me know what your recommendations are please.

If you are going for a P-mag look, go with the Star P-Mags. They work in my G&G. THe feed flawlessly and the are around 10 bucks. For like $75 you can get 10.

MAG midcaps are great. Theyre light, they feed great, and if you happen to lose one theyre cheap to replace. Just don't fill them up all the way. I only put 90-100rds in mine and with a little lube they will work great.

Star are good Mag's But if your running with a KWA I would say no.

All in all from my Exp use the same Brands as the gun brand your running they never fail

the STar mags were terrible in my KWA, i had to sand paper a lot of them down to work, and they would skip feeds a lot, in the G&P and CA they work fine.

I've bought 4 boxes of the Star Green Label PMags and about 6 boxes of the MAG mags.  IMO, while certainly not terrible mags, the Star mags are inferior in every way.  Inside and out they are built much more cheaply than the MAG mags.  The MAG mags have stronger plastic and stiffer springs.  Unless you HAVE to have PMag style mags, go with the MAG brand mags.  Out of 48 mags, I've had one break on me and that was from effectively being bounced across a 30 foot concrete sidewalk.  I've even left them loaded for extended periods of time, they still work perfectly.  Out of 32 Star mags, I have 6 that don't feed at all and couple that only feed sometimes.

Well I don't want to get star pmag replicas and I definitely don't want the MAG brand since I found out they were plastic. The reasoning behind that is because I want to put magpul ranger plates on them. So it appears that I have to purchase either echo1 or G&G brand mags. Well you never mentioned what brand of rifle you where using so my .02 cents was to say if you where using a KWA to avoid them like the plague

As for Mag Brand they work great for being plastic and are well molded just need a dab of silicon lube . they don't look like plastic and they don't add unneeded weight to your rifle. (for me its great cause I lug around a 6.5lb KWA SR-12)

I've taken into consideration the weight factor but I do like the feel of ranger plates on the back of those. Do u happen to know if the star mags would accept the pmag plate?

Will they accept PMag ranger plate?  Yes.  Will the ranger plate stay on?  No.  The Green Label Ranger plates are hard, brittle, plastic just like the mag rather than a rubber material like the genuine ranger plates.  They stay on but they look and feel like crap.

I have a box of MAG M4 mids.  They feed excellently once you lube and break them in.  Out of the box they didn't feed very well for me.
