SMS text notification!

Not quite sure how this would be established but it would be great if i could get notifications send directly to my phone via sms somehow, Say someone sent me a pm i would get a automated text saying Soandso send you a message and then list the message or Soandso replyed to your topic then list the reply.This would be extremely convenient for someone who doesent allways have access to the internet or have mobile web on your phone (like me)

My iphone vibrates whenever I get a new email, usually PMs.

Get gmail. Have gmail route your email notifications to your phone via text message. Problem solved.

If you don't have access to the internet or mobile web on your phone, what good is getting a PM notification on your phone going to do?
