Well, I had two of the KSC TMP's:  widely recognized as the best new gas SMG out there and was unimpressed with its power.  It was a great gun to use to impress people and plink with, and it sounded great, but would be highly inefficient to use to play a game with.  My advice:  get it only if you have the extra cash to blow on it for a gun you won't ever use to play with in a game.

The KSC was sort of tempermental, wasn't it? I mean, more than normal for a gas gun.

I've heard good things about the KSC M11, but the new Maruzen Advanced System or whatever they call it is supposed to be really good.

I also hear that the K is the 3rd in a series of 4 gas autos for Maruzen. Next up is a full-auto 1911.

I heard from a few reliable sources that Maruzen's M11 was inferior to the KSC M11 in many ways.  I don't know first-hand, but I have heard that from quite a few.  Best place to get info on the new gas GBB is probably from ASP or ASZ.  I never had any problems with either of my TMP's being "tempermental" at all (or any other problems for that matter)...  just that they were not *efficient* enough to use in games against AEG's.

Which other gas full-auto GBB's did Maruzen make?  Do you know off-hand?  Was trying to think, but only came up with the M11...

Chase, have you fired the mp5k?

Chase beats me to the punch. <img src=icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>

The Maruzen M11 may have been inferior to the KSC, but the WA was supposed to be inferior as well.

Plus, the K uses a whole new system, so it could be a whole new ballgame with this gas auto.

I know I'm a little late in posting a reply to this topic, but I have some experience with these weapons. I am a past owner of a Maruzen Micro Uzi and a WA M11. I am a current owner of the KSC M11. While I do not speak as an authority on the inner workings of any of these guns, I can say with assurance that my preference is definitely the KSC. The Maruzen Micro Uzi was way too plasticy looking and did not (in my humble opinion) make efficient use of the gas in the magazine. It seemed to run out after only 1 to 2 mag loads. Also, there was a noticable lag in power after a long burst of full auto. The Western Arms M11 seemed to suffer the same problems with the exception that it looked better than the Uzi. On the other hand, the KSC version has never given me a hic-up (even after 4000 rds). It digested everything I've ever fed it (including paintballs). It keeps it's high ROF without the lagging effect of freon fade. And it sounds incredible to boot. I've got a Tanio Koba two stage suppressor the really cuts the noise level down as well. For GBB sub guns, the KSC has my vote. Now, as far as the new Maruzen MP5K is concerned, if Maruzen has cured the plasticy problem and gone with something more akin to the TM look, that will be a plus. However, if the performance is closer to the Uzi, then I'd say save your money. Anyway, thats just one man's opinion. Take it or leave it.

Well after reading Redwolf's review of the mp5k, I must say I am a little disappointed.  I am a definite fan of akimbo MP5K's, but when I read the review, the MP5K has a lot less power than the KSC M11 (.5J vs .7 (134a) or .9 w/ green gas).  Also, the M11 has the empty mag bolt stop which is pretty cool.  Also, the M11 is cheaper by $20.  It looks like I'll probably be getting an M11.  Anyone plan on getting the MP5K?  Rev, if you still have your M11, can I try firing it sometime?  I'll give you a call and we can discuss the 93 as well.

Sure Nick, I'll bring it to the Dec. 1st game. I'm also bringing the 93R to the game as well. I owe Mike M. $20 for a charged battery. If you still have some of those standard M4/M16 Mags, bring 'em along and we'll work a deal for the 93R. If you want to call me, you can reach me at (602)222-5338 M-F, 8am to 4pm. Keep yer powder dry!

Either moniker is fine (Curtis or TheRev). And after you try the KSC M11, you may just decide that AEG's are a little too tame. But watch out! These things are gas and BB hogs. I've learned that short, controlled bursts preserve accuracy and ammo. However, that being said, I must add that letting loose with the full auto is definitely an experience. I've had the opportunity to fire the real steel counterpart to this gun, and with the exception of felt recoil, the suppressed GBB sounds almost exactly like the suppressed real version.
And it's a true bullet hose. I think you'll like it.<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

So tell me Nick... How did you like the M11? There was another young player out there on Saturday that broke his MP5 on the first game, and borrowed the M11 for the rest of the day. He really seemed to enjoy it. Tell me what your true impressions were.

I for one loved that little gun of yours Curtis.  I'm going to have to get one just for the heck of it.  And your correct about it sounding like the real steel supressed version, I've fired one as well.  Only this one is way cheaper to shoot!

Scorpion 6 out.

Curtis, thanks for letting me mess around with the M11!  I really loved the thing!  I was impressed by the power (over 320fps!) and the rate of fire was nice and high too! The sound was really cool. The thing was hefty and quite solid.  I really didn't notice too much of a sound difference with the silencer but it just looks sweet.  I didn't realize how small the gun is, but now I can really see carrying 2.  I think I am definitely gonna get one!

While I did not get to shoot it, watching Chuck run around with that and his pistol drawn was quite memorable.  It made me think of that tea house scene from Hard Boiled (highly recommended) when Chow Yun Fat and the other cop had there little shoot out.  I want to be a Hong Kong action movie star.  In the mean time though I think I will have to get one too!

Well, it sounds to me like there's gonna be a run on M11's here real soon. Chase better stock up on those little babies. I'm glad you guys enjoyed it. I'm not sure who carries the suppressors that fit it anymore. I got mine from a guy on ebay who was selling out. I know Redwolf has them, and maybe Airsoft Extreme. Give Chase a chance to see if he can get a good deal on some. The Tanio Koba at Redwolf goes for about $75 plus shipping. I think the ANGS goes for about $60. Anyway, the M11 makes an awesome CQB tool. It sounds totally incredible in an empty warehouse too! We gotta find us a playground for CQB!!!

I own two Maruzen MP5 Ks and love 'em both. Got 'em used... two for two hundred bucks. For their weight, you'd figure they'd be a little more powerful. But that doesn't matter, really, 'cause they're nice guns... great for display, backyard shooting, etc. Although I've put VERY few rounds through them... I can honestly say they're pretty good for CQB and they're quite loud. Which I dig. Rate of fire is nuts, man. I thought my gun was broken and spraying out way too many BBs. I thought the same when the guys at Airsoft Extreme let me try out my MP5 SD6 before I bought it. :D

So, anyone seen/touched/felt/used/fired/smelled one of these sexy beasts?  If so, I want to hear impressions...  I hear ROF is good, but I've also heard that power can be a little lacking.  I am thinking about making this my next purchase, so I want to be informed.
