FOREST SERVICE FIREARMS ORDERS
« on: January 27, 2009, 05:42:59 AM »
Just wanted to post up some information for you all about the new Tonto National Forest Firearms restrictions.  These were executed back in Nov. 2008, unfortunately our webmaster was late in getting this info posted.

http://www.fs.fed.us/r3/tonto/home.shtml

Lower right sidebar of frame has links with appendix maps.

PS - Check locations on maps where the 4 Peaks extraction occured not sure how close to the boundary that is, also to the guys from EVA, bulldog wash is illegal.

At that game the forest service came out, talked to Elliot and I believe told us that where we were playing was legal, it was everything to the right of us that was a nore shooting zone, or something like that.

It would be a good idea to get a permit for the legal area just incase and to avoid any doubt when questioned.

Agreed.  Also, as a side note, I'd be happy to help Organized groups handle this, I do alot of work with the Safford and Nogales District Forest Service offices for our stuff and they are actually pretty easy to work with once a dialog is opened up.
