« on: July 03, 2014, 12:16:44 PM »
Wow its been long time since i posted on the site.

Anyway. I Recently been looking at headsets for My Cobra micro talk Walkie talkie  like this one.
http://www.walmart.com/ip/GMRS-FRS-2-Way-Radio/22238140

I wonder if it would be Compatible with the Matrix element head sets http://www.evike.com/products/33068/
or if i need too buy a Adapter?

I would Real appreciate any advice on this matter.

Hi,

The Evike site doenst say how many pins it is. Your radio needs only 1 pin, I assume. These headsets are really cheap. I've had two bite the dust within a couple weeks of getting it. I would suggest getting a 1 pin speaker mic and a surveillance earpiece.

I haven't had much luck with those headsets either. Not very sturdy. Wires come apart pretty easy.

I have something simular to that.  It is the Bowman Ellite II from Redwolf.  I have not had any problems with mine.  They have all different ptt setups at Redwolf.  You may be able to find what you are looking for there.

I looked it UP specs of  my model. Its a CTW285P DC. and dose have One hole connection point on top. [ battery Recharge happens on  the bottem on a charging  station].

i may look into the speaker mic. Though i really wanted A military style comm set for a reasonable price thanks for the advice drummer.
