Post by: THE DUNN on October 13, 2009, 11:34:21 PM
-EDITED-

i dont know what the hell CA was thinking when they made these but they are a nightmare to take apart... if anyone has taken one apart before please let me know how, the only thing standing between me and the gearbox is the bolt catch lever inside the gun.. i got the mag release screwed off but now when i try to pull the gearbox out thee is a long piece of metal on the bolt catch that gets in the way
please help

maybe a stupid question but how do you take out the mag release on the new classic army guns (there is no screw, only a push pin)? i have been trying to figue out how to take it apart so i could get to the gearbox and can not figure it out for the life of me... i looked all over the web and found no tuts on how to do this
-thanks-

Push the button into the receiver until the catch clears the receiver on the opposite side.  Rotate the catch counterclockwise until it separates from the button and spring.

I take mine apart for fun, there are 4 pins. 1) the rear pin goes through the rear of the mechbox
2) the Flora Pin is right above the trigger. 3) Mag catch is a Hex screw (1.25mm i think) 4) the front pin connects the upper receiver to the lower. Now for the screws. there are also two locations four screws. 1) the motor plate remove those. 2) Next unplug the wires from the motor and slide it out. there are two more screws. the final location is the in the stock; idk if you have the solid or retractable one but its the same, take your longest screwdriver and stick down the tube, its a Phillips head fyi and remove. If your have done all that the mechbox should come out. I hoped this helped
