say i buy parts from somewhere here and there. will it cost as much to make a gun, as it would to buy a gun? and how hard/ how much time will be needed to build it from scraps?

Depends. If you want the best of parts, and a rifle that you want to your exact liking, it can cost significantly more than just buying a stock rifle. The advantages to building from scratch are you get it how you like, without spending "more" than you need to (for instance, buy a stock rifle, then put in/on what you want). The disadvantages are the gun will not have the quality control that you might get from CA or Marui. Also, it does take some patience, becuase they might not have what you want in stock, and it takes time to get it built properly, and have it work properly.

It is much better to buy a base gun, specifically a CA CQBR and then build the gun you want off of it and then sell the parts that it comes with. There are a lot of things that are more expensive to buy when you get it piecemeal, and there are a lot of parts that are hard to be had at all. And if you intend to do anything other than an M4 variant you will have a hard time finding all the parts.

If you know what you are doing. However, like has been previously stated, it is far easier to convert a stock gun into something that you want.
