Most smart chargers are universal right? Is this the charger?

If you have a standard trickle charger, I'd say to just get a new smart charger anyways. If it's a smart charger meant for NiCd, I'd look it up and see. I'm sure you'd be fine, but it never hurts to check it all out via google.

its actually a smart charger that i have from my RC car days, so its meant for RC car batteries. they really arent a whole lot different from airsoft batteries, but i looked it up and saw that the charger was only meant for NiCd.

when i did radio control cars planes boats nimh and nicad charges charged diff if i remember one is a linear if im spelling that right, and the other is a pulse charge u will not totaly ruin ur battery but most likely cut its life in half or more lipo's both poly and ion use diff charges also if i remember correct. also the amount of cells and amps u charge them at will determin the life and stability of ur battery.. example if u charge a ak-47 stick battery 8.4v nicad at 9 amps most likley ull blow it up nicad and nimh can be charged at double the capacity example 2000 mah 4 amps  1500 mah 3 amps etc all this is if i remb correctly from my rc days

I've had experience with this and the answer is no. I killed 2 NiMh (8.4v 1600mah, 9.6v 2000mah) with a NiCd charger. and it was a smart charger at that.

My apartment is infested with koala bears. Its the cutest infestation ever. Much better than cockroaches. I turn the lights on and a bunch of koala bears scatter. I\'m like, come back! I want to hold one of you, and feed you a leaf. -Mitch Headberg
