« on: April 18, 2011, 06:16:02 PM »
i want 2 buy this for my AK, but it has a standard 74 type stock, so i was wondering if the standard stock screws would work to secure this, or do i need a special stock? i ask cause most of the AKs ive seen this on have m4 collapsible adapters...

I don't think this rail even goes near the stock. So I'm going to have to say no you don't need a new stock

From my experience, I'm confident it will work. Regardless of collapsible stock or your standard fixed stock, the screw placement is the same. That's depending on style of mount the collapsible stock is on. In your case you have the standard fixed stock, so all you will need to do is unscrew the top stock screw, put the rail on, then screw the top stock screw back in.

Some modification may or may not be necessary, but I strongly suggest that you get other opinions before making a final decision on buying that rail. Don't waste your money. Research and be sure.

All I'm saying from my experience, not necessarily with the exact items in question, that it will fit together.
