The CYMA AKs are typically a great "bang for your buck" AK. In my personal opinion, I would try to steer him away from the blowback feature, unless he simply must have it. It is just more moving parts that can fail down the road.

i'd go for the cyma over the TM anyday..

Cyma is real wood and steel recievers.. thats a little better than plastic..

and yes they are steel take a magnet to the reciver.

like hdrox said try to stay away from the blow back, as they just put extra wear on your battery, and gun in the long run.

dude i'v been teching on guns for 6 years.. I know exactly what i just said to him

if you have ever owned one of the newer cyma's with real wood and steel you would know to just shut up.

and actually tm internals are crap compaired to the new cymas, Tm gears are die cast. Cyma are stainless steel.
Tm use nylon bushings Cyma uses Steel or Ball bearings.
Tm uses policarb pistons. 90% of the newer cymas have policarbs with full metal rack pistons.
Oh the cyma also comes with a ball bearing spring guide and probobly a BB piston head also, instead of the policarb ones tm uses.
It even comes with a .04 barrel.
Wow your right man that really looks like Tm owns cyma's internals to me man do some research Before you try that next time.

tms are reliable tho i will tell you that. Pretty much anything would be at 300 fps though with moderate strength batterys used.

in the last few years china has been producing some crazy stuff.
Some of them can compair to a very high end guns, because litterally there knocking off everything about a high end guns.

Some china aeg's come with clones upgrades that are simply a stolen designs, Like king arms highspeed gear sets in Certin A&K guns,
(of course they dont say King arms on them, but they look identical to the KA gear sets because someone bought a set and casted a mold of them)
really all the china guns need is someone that pays attention to doing shim jobs and all of that correctly to go in there and put it together taking there time.

and by just heat treating the china gears there actually really nice gears  some of them last forever

Old Cyma's used to be pretty sketchy, but the new ones tend to be reliable for the most part. Also, TM's are better to SOME extent, but the price range is completely different too. Just my 2¢...
