Directions to AO:
The meet for those that want to caravan is at the Standard/Chevron station on the west side of I-17 at Anthem Blvd (north side). Meet there at 0630hrs. Take I-17 north through Phoenix towards Flagstaff. Exit at Anthem blvd. and turn left at the offramp onto Anthem. Go over the freeway (west) and travel approx. 400 meters(yds) to the filling station. We are meeting there at 6:30 am and leaving at 7:00am sharp.  If you miss that just continue north.
Take I-17 north and exit on the AZ69 at Cordes Junction towards Prescott. Once in Prescott proper, get onto Gurley Street and head west to Whiskey Row (on the west side of the Courthouse Plaza), turn left onto Whiskey Row and head south. The road will wind up a hill and to the west as you clear the business district. Once you top the hill, there is an Woodys Gas Station on the right side of the street. There may be a few people there at the gas station. If not, then turn right onto Copper Basin road. The road is paved for about 3 miles then becomes a dirt road. It is well graded and fine for passenger cars. Continue up the dirt road until you pass through a wash. After the wash, the AO is approx. 1 to 1.2 miles on the left as you make a turn to the south and start to level off. Look for the vehicles and campsite on the left side.
The GPS coordinates are N34.29.915 - W112.32.473 .

I'm in for green, may be +1, will keep you updated.

If it matters, I'm down for Prescott.  It would be  8) .  But I'm good with any AO.

I wanted to check out a few other possible locations before making the final decision on Prescott.  Going out next weekend to scout around some places.  I'll keep y'all posted.

Prescott (pronounced "preskitt" like biscuit) is a GREAT AO, but a very long drive from Tucson...

Find somewhere to stay the night, or camp at the AO? I'll do it if a few other people will.

friends and I can scout around as well, we're here in Preskitt all the time, and could probably come up with a few spots that wouldn't be too remote, or we could find a few that ARE remote :)
