The problem with airsoft

 I've noticed tons of people on craigslist are selling their airsoft equipment but why? I think it's because they have no one to play with because their "friends" don't really have the motivation to get out there and play! For some reason the "community" is too lazy to actually get together and play games! I aim to fix that problem. I currently have permission to use my uncles property, it's a little over an acre (yes I know we'll need a lot more room for big battles) but that's why the community needs to ban together and find bigger land to play on! So hit me up if you;re down to team up with me and grow the community out here and finally give airsoft the attention it deserves! remember, airsoft isn't just about shooting fakes guns it's also a way for us to exercise while having fun and that's the image I want to promote!

what is the general location. i mean like cross roads. i would love to get out and play more. the reason for me not getting out as much in lack of $$$ to really go out. i have guns and gear just no $ for ammo and field fee.

Well, an acre isn't a ton of space, but it's a start. If you can get some decent props/cover set up, and actually attract enough people, I think this has potential. Also, depending on the location, this could be a more viable option for people who can't travel as far. Most of the big games I see on YouTube are happening in Virginia, and let's face it: that ain't happening. The community has the numbers. We have the gear, and we have the land. If we can get the word out (like these fine fellows: http://www.airsoftarizona.com/index.php?topic=37994.0), then we may have a chance of putting on something epic.

TL;DR- Put the work in, and it could be great.

The primary problem isn't that people are lazy. A lot of the older vet's that have been playing this game for years are jaded because of the pubescent little pony's that are invading this sport and giving it a bad name. They have entitlement issues... They don't listen or follow rules... They don't call their hits... etc...

Tack on that it's summer and in Arizona playing in 118 degree weather is just stupid.

I live in North/Central Phoenix, but I'd be down to drive a decent distance - provided that people are planning on getting a good amount of play in (if I'm driving 45 min each way, I'd hope for at least 3 hours of play).  I second the imperative question asked earlier:  where's this acre-lot Troy's got permission to use?

I love to play up north, just out side of Flagstaff. Tons of land and it is nice to play year round (even in the snow), but the drive sucks. But the people who love the game will make sacrifices to play.

i think everyone has their reasons for lack of play. for myself i wont play outdoors until winter due to the summer heat. I would go play ar vip but my personal issue is lack of transportation. combined that with my lack of "airsofting" friends and i really dont play more them once a month if im lucky.
