Shameless plug; There will be a kickass game the NEXT weekend  ;)

Helluva shorter drive than Texas, too. (See March Picketpost Warrior AO thread)...

Not that AO anymore.

Its going to be in downtown Fort Worth.  The city is blocking off a section of the industrial part of downtown so we will be in real streets, real buildings with real city action.

Actually I still have a few slots open on Golf CO if anyone wants in.  You need to be able to pay the reg fee today ($100  LC Series Vets /$135 non vets) though.

My vehicle is at capacity.  If you want to cheap it out there greyhound has a couple of direct buses (no changes of bus) to DFW and you still have the 21 day advance if you book today.  I don't recall the cost but it was something like $56 each way.  I would have room at the hotel Friday night at the Op and could pick you up in DFW if you arrive there on Friday.

I'll look into options.. it still sounds fun, but it seems like the 1 day/for 3 days travel time is kinda iffy still

Appears OPNS has been postponed:

Troops,

I'm sending everyone this notice to minimize any unsound rumors that may permiate the community in a later date.  It's best that you get it straight from the horse's mouth.

I regret to inform you that after a painstaking process of obtaining additional insurance to satisfy the city, Mr. Mik Dzmura, who graciously drove the entire AO on Saturday to personally distribute the Street Closure notice letters to over 30 structures within and around the AO, discovered that four rather large businesses were open on Saturday.....all within the AO. Dickies Outlet, Boot Outlet, Smith Texas Warehouse and Bingo Hall were all packed with visitors.

Rather than risking lawsuits from potential injuries suffered by bystanders, I decided to postpone the entire OP until a PRIVATE/FENCED IN AO can be located.

A Copy of the permit from the City of Fort Worth is being uploaded by the webmaster to the OPNS site so you know everything was done properly; even the City did not take note of Saturday activities from those four businesses.

Two land owners have been contacted and we hope to transform OPNS into a REGIONAL OP within March.

Every paid OPNS player is entitled to ask for a full refund with no questions asked. Simply e mail me at bestofusamkt@aol.com with THE DATE ON WHICH YOU MADE YOUR PAYPAL PAYMENT.

Fly-in players will also receive an airline penalty credit towards their next OP with us in addition to their OP refund.  Please e mail me your FLIGHT CONFIRMATION with Airline Penalty requirement (I know they penalize none refundable tickets anywhere between $50~$100 depending on where you're flying from while the balance of your fare is still good for one year with the same airline.)

OPNS will materialize, but we have to do so properly.  I take FULL RESPONSIBILITY for this turnout and apology to ANYONE who maybe upset over the outcome.

The concept was unique and would've been great, but the unforeseen continued to surprise us.

Elements of OPNS that are intacted are: Military vehicles and Event VIP Commanders......all is not lost.  Stay tuned.
