Here is an idea...

A game called sharks and minnows. Popular pool game except this time there are guns. Sharks have guns and all the ammo in the world. minnows have nothing but a blaze orange thong. They must try to make it from one side of a football field to the other for one point. when a minnow dies he becomes a shark.

Can we wear a cup?

WhAT!? man up! its a 6mm BB traveling at 400 fps at the muzzle... Put some hair on your peaches! haha

EDIT:
Disregard my last. You may wear a cup ONLY if the cup was designed to drink from.

Ah, those kids are fun.  Especially when they shoot once, and then you rush towards them with your pistol out and yell for them to surrender when they are trying to pull back the slide on their pistol.  When they don't, shoot them at least 6 times.

Wow. thats horrible. Im all for showing kids the error of their way but at least give them a chance to learn from their mistakes. I'd only shoot three times... only cuz they didn't surrender. lol

I use these

Are these pretty far from your face?

Yes they are. They are almost an exact replica of the old bolle x500 goggles.

Waist of money in my opinion, and didnt work with my glasses, but its your money.

Waste* ;D

I need more options, the sides of my glasses always conflict with goggles and decimate my face.

I wish Evike had measurements on their site, it'd help.

I wear a set of specialty safety glasses so the arms on them are really wide to accommodated side shields so its a major problem finding goggles that work. the goggles i linked above are perfect for what i need so i'm confidant they will work for you as well.

I'm going to vote for the T-800s as well. If you wear prescription glasses finding goggles can be troublesome. The cheapest way to eliminate your problem is to buy a riser. Like this one:

So my $300 Aimpoint is over kill? i always thought that if it is worth doing its worth over doing

I'd have to say for airsoft it is a little over kill. Real steel it would be middle of the road. I do admit i spent about 70 on my eotech replica. i did it because it uses AA batteries rather then the million dollar watch batteries. Its paid for it self.

I don't carry a lot of things on my rig either. Pistol pouches, 5.56 mag pouches, hydration carrier, and a small pouch for extra ammo and a pouch to hold an extra battery. Everything else can go in an assault pack and be dropped. Wise man once said, everything on your rig should be used to kill some one. Everything else is dead weight.

The camelback's that are set up for packing are a pain when it comes to mobility. However, the hydration carriers that are designed to integrate with molle rigs are completely indispensable in my opinion. Even for the short games, it really sucks not having some water after you've just sprinted across an open area. I'll always have mine attached to me rig. But thats just me.

Are we really having a discussion about reloading airsoft magazines?

I think this is a perfect example of a question a new player should ask. Most people don't realize they should have their magazines placed in their pouches a certain way. There is a lot of information people can learn for a thread like this, both newbie and veterans alike. I'm only aware of the beer can and index finger method to reloading. There has to be other was to reload i don't know about.

circle k bags usually work, just tie the top ends of the bag to your rig and your GTG!  [smilie=armata_pdt_12.gif]

In sight of realism and use, having a normal dump pouch in my opinion is the best way to go, you can cram a ton of gear into them.

Circle K bags will work just fine till they hit a branch or something but thats not a terrible idea really. They're free and might provide some insight to weather or not he wants a dump pouch or not.

thegovernator is right, It's all about you. We can keep this thread going for ages but when it comes down to it, it's at all about you. Gear is kind of like a finger print. You can give exactly the same gear to 2 different people, give it a week and they will both be different. Just remember, if your sitting around bored or waiting put your vest on, empty your magazines and practice reloading.

With regards to the leg dump pouch. I wouldn't recommend using them. Actually, i wouldn't recommend having anything attacked to your leg. In my experience i found having everything you need for eliminating some one right up front above your waist is where you want it. everything you don't need to eliminate some one should be put on your back or in some kind of pack. On the other hand the giant leg dump pouches are a great place to put snacks and an ice pack...

Reloading under pressure is certainly an art in its self. The best thing i can say about it is practice...
Personally i run 7 30 round mid caps and a small pistol style speed loader. it gets me through most engagements. If i know i'm going to be running a longer mission during a bigger operation i will my magazines, speed loader and a small bag of ammo with a rubber band around it to keep noise down. I also put some kind of marking on my magazine because when i do a speed reload i often leave them on the ground. Ill pick them up after i get tagged or the fire fight is over and friendlys are offering me cover.

Before worrying about reloading procedure you must first make sure your equipment works for you. Make sure your magazines are faced so the mag curves to your right when in your pouches.

I utilize the beer can grip when i reload. This means when i go to pull my magazine from my pouch i turn my hand so my palm is facing away from me and my thumb is towards the ground. I grab my magazine with a firm grip then pull the mag out of its pouch, rotate it up then into my mag well.

As far as reloading magazines goes there is two kinds of reloads to consider while airsofting. A tactical reload and a speed reload.

During a speed reload your under fire and have to change magazines as fast as possible. This is, for that reason, the hardest to master. I often times will eject my spent magazine by pushing mag release with my fire control hand (right hand) and rotating my gun clockwise to fling the mag from my gun. At the same time i use the beer can method to reload with my action hand (left hand). Takes me maybe 2 seconds.

During a tactical reload i use my dump pouch (holds 4 mags, 5 if i cram it in tight). Spent mags are put in dump pouch while i reconsolidates magazines that are furthest from my center to the front making them easier to find during a speed reload. I also utilize the beer can method here as well. If you have time and cover feel free to reload your spent magazines with your speed loader and place them just behind your other magazines.

The most important thing to remember is constancy and repetition. Build up the muscle memory. Do this till you can do it blind folded and under pressure. If you can reload while blind folded then you don't have to look at your gun. That means you don't have to lose situational awareness!

You should also get a hold of Magpul's Art of the Tactical Carbine. They go over all kinds of things from beginner tactical stuff to advanced stuff. Its a great movie and you can learn a lot that transfers to airsoft.

The following link is the dump pouch i use if your curious what i mean by small dump pouch. I highly recommend Cordura made products.

This is the plate carrier i use. It also has the dump pouch attached to it.

EDIT:
If you haven't already purchased them DO NOT go cheap on these! Your best investment next to replacing the shorts you used your first time on the field is your magazines. I cant stress this enough.
