***The Wolverine Airsoft Single Moving Part (SMP) system is the next step in the evolution of HPA airsoft technology. The SMP is the first product to hit the airsoft market which departs from the model of repackaging paintball electro-pneumatic technology to fit into an airsoft gun body. By recognizing that the needs of an airsoft gun to propel a 1/4 gram bb are very different from propelling a paintball 10x that weight we were enabled to develop a design that is more efficient, less complex, safer, and cheaper. ****

Funny you posted that, I was doing some reading. I knew it was a matter of time before p* had some competitors. Do you know the price? And if the air efficiency is true I might switch over my 6 p* rifles lol

Nvm. It's 390$. That's funny. Only 10$ cheaper then the first p* I got in 2011.

For being a "simpler, cheaper" solution, that doesn't seem very cheap.

I don't plan to buy either of them, but, it is always good to learn of new products. This can be used in both V3 and V2 with a nozzle change, since it is inter-gearbox. My P* couldn't do that.

Need to drop it in an odd gun that uses standard AEG cylinder, and has GB space? Hmmm. Maybe for guns like Tavor/Type 97/uzi ect, as a drop in!

Now that we have two-player game, vs just one, I would be on the lookout for some interesting games with products.

I saw post on ASF and AS to "Build a Kuba" but, I never saw more than one working one haha.

Both the P* and SMP seem pretty solid to me. If P* prices stay at $500 then I personally see no more reason to buy a P* again as long as the SMP is in stock. Hopefully the competition forces both to drop their prices.

It would be nice to see a price drop, doubt it. To me, it's a cheaper verson and for 390$ I'd rather spend the extra and be able to change the setting more in depth. Open bolt/closed bolt, dp and feed rate.

All cool and all but really it would only benefit guns whose gearboxes don't fit any of the current polarstars who can't afford a custom install.

Best thing about the SMP and Tippman is how it will generate competition with P*.

Again. That competition is for those who can't afford the p*, the only reason why I would ever buy one is for my support weapon. M60 or something

I was not impressed with my P*

If this device can offer a similar platform, that will allow for a higher degree of accuracy, at a lower cost, It will be a very viable alternative.

Spending the price of a used vehicle on a P* is not my idea of quality.

There is advantages to the smp and p*, I just believe it won't last long. Maybe customization will prove other wise.
