As usual for a zombie adventure, MTT is getting quite a few questions about missions, rules and volunteers.
Event info will start being released next week after Black Hawk Down: Battle of Mogadishu.
Registration will open at the BHD event at Fighter Town. Players will also be able to begin registering at Gearbox Airsoft next week.
Here are a few answers to some of the more frequently asked questions.
Q: Do I need a team of 4 to 6 players to play?
A: No, just like in a "real" zombie apocalypse you would try to survive with any other fighters. If you don't have a group, you will be added to one.
Q: Other zombie games have had ammo restrictions. Will there be one at L4D?
A: Each group of survivors will be issued a speed loader with approximately 100 bb's at the start of the mission. Additional ammo will need to be found or taken from dead bodies.
Q: Who will be playing as the zombies?
A: All players will be required to serve as zombies for the other teams throughout the day. Those who refuse to play as zombies will not be allowed to play at future zombie games.
Q: Can the two teams (Coalition and Jihadist) join forces to survive?
A: At the end of each mission there will be an objective that will only allow for 4 survivors to proceed (Helicopter Spaces, Gas Masks, Vaccine). Teams can join together if they want, however, only four will move on to the next mission.
Q: Is there a cost to volunteer as a zombie?
A: No. Zombie volunteers earn a free admission to a future event at the UAC.
Q: All I have is a *INSERT WEAPON TYPE* with a winding mag. Can I use this at the event?
A: There won't be any weapon restrictions for players, however, these types of magazines will not function well with small amounts of ammo. Each team will start with 100 bb's for 4 -6 players. Expect to start with about 20 - 30 shots at most.
Q: Will there be wounding rules at L4D similar to the previous Resident Evil Games?
A: No, once infected, a player will become a zombie in one minute. This will provide a short period of time for team members to strip gear from the victim.
Q: Will there be runners or other zombies with special abilities?
A: Yes. For safety reasons only staff members will be assigned roles as the more dangerous undead.
Q: Can I use my foam sword, toy chainsaw or another melee (hand) weapon at the game?
A: Due to safety reasons, no hand weapons will be allowed.
Q: I rely want to play at teh zombie gam, but I dont have monye... My dad says its 2 far to drive...Im not old yet enuf...Can you help with these problems?
A: In order of questions... 1 Volunteer as a zombie to get a free admission for the next zombie event. 2 Email
