Best Quick Draw Glock Holster?
« on: September 14, 2012, 11:10:39 PM »
So I'm wanting a nice quick draw holster for my ksc g17 (and hopefully soon RS Glock). I've heard great things about serpa. I'm mainly wanting a plastic shell one, not too much into the leather ones, but if you know a good leather one let me know.

Just overall want to know your guys suggestions on glock holsters, thanks.

SERPAs are nice, I run one myself. I'm looking at switching soon, but only so I can have a light, and it's going to have to be a custom holster, I think. If you're willing to spend a bit more, the Safariland holsters are also pretty nice, but personally they're not worth the extra $50 or so to me.

There is a manufacturer in Israel that makes these holster's for flocks with attachments and its a break away holster for the gun. Can't remember the name right off hand but it is issued to there military and mossad. Will find the name later on and pm it to anybody interested.

Could that be the Fobus holster?

I use the serpa and never had any problem at all with it. I use them for both airsoft and for carrying my Glock 17 & 22. Safariland is a good holster as well but I agree with Fresnel that it is not worth the extra $50 or so but then again I haven't had to use it for everyday carry.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I was already looking into getting a Serpa but wanted to see what else is out there.  I'll have to check out that fobus holster.

I've run a SERPA for several years, and just recently bought a G-Code kydex holster for USPSA.  I can't even describe to you how much more I like the G-Code than the SERPA.  Construction is more solid, you get better (and safer) retention with the thumb-break, and you have the quick-changing modularity with their RTI system.  Also, after comparing my holster to the ones by Safariland and Blade-tech, it is at least as good as their offerings for less money.  Check them out if you haven't already.

Fobus paddle holsters have a... unique flaw.
Why you don't use a kydex paddle holster
