Hey that little VP 70 is no better!

It would be kind of nice for someone who wants to recreate a "terrorist" kit.

Whats the deal with red dots on CQB guns.  If you cant point a gun thats in your shoulder and get what you want, you just need to practice shooting.  I just cant see myself, or anyone else taking the time to line up a red dot as they come around a corner.

line up a red dot? are you kidding? i can get better and faster results with my red dot, then i can using iron sights. that is why they make stuff like that, faster target aquisition, and better results. i do love the new stuff tho, except for the p38, dont care for that.

I see your point.  Sometimes I don't even turn my Aimpoint on.

Have you ever used a red-dot, Joey?

I had one on my first M4.  It was a cheapy that I got at a gun show, 40mm.  I even took my front site off, thinking it would be really cool to use the red-dot, but I hated it.  I can put a gun, especially airsoft, into my shoulder, and get what I want without any sights.  I cant imagine trying to use a little 20mm (ish) red-dot on a mac or a scorpion.  I see them on shotugns too, which is just wrong.

On real steel it's not wrong.  I've seen Master class shooters miss complete targets from trying to shoot too fast and not keeping their eyes lined up with their sights or red dot.  There's an old saying, "how fast can you miss?".  Now on Airsoft guns, well that's a different story, and the sights are more for looks rather than functionality.

I dig the M1100, the 1911 (Finally! A railed single stack!), the fixed slide full-set P99 (I wonder what that's supposed to be competing with? [:p]), and the MAN FROM UNCLE gun! Yes! Come on, that's cool...I guess we're just too milsim around here to appreciate it...

APS-3? Sweet, I wonder if it will just be some cosmetic upgrades or look entirely different.

One would assume the APS3 will have some more cosmetics to it as Maurzen seems to be tilting in that direction. Take those L96 kits for instance.

I'm also very excited about a railed single stack pistol. Plus I love the look of those Kimbers from S.W.A.T.

The L96 is pretty different, though.  The internals aren't the same.
