Not to hijack the thread, but can one purchase theater-grade blank-firing devices (that fit inside FS's) on-line? A few friends and I want to make a little movie, and while I want to use the AR is a scene or two, I'm not willing to use live ammo (no, the AR will not be pointed any anyone, even with blanks). I do want the thing to cycle, however. [:P] Thanks!

Yep, try http://www.mooremilitaria.com/prod03.htm I have bought many items from Trey Moore and all of them are top-notch. By the way, I don't know if you've seen the trailer Harley posted for me, but I do have a bit of experience in amateur film if you want any pointers. They other thing is, I still have most of the stuff we used in our film, including something like 6 M16's (vn style, one's a real steel SP-1 clone, the rest are airsoft), 2 M14's (one's a real steel M1A and the other a resin model), and an airsoft M60. We also have a heck of alot of equipment from grenades to helmets. Just keep in mind that its all vietnam stuff (though stuff like canteens and grenades haven't changed much). I would be willing to lend some of it out for a short time. Basically, most of it I don't need until Dec.

Sweet! I'll keep you in mind. Right now we're just getting started with a story line, etc. It'll probably be 25 minutes or shorter. Nothing too big. Kind of like those BMW videos they had on TV for a while. [:D]

Looking for .223 blanks
« Reply #4 on: September 29, 2004, 09:18:55 PM »
Looking for .223 blanks. Found some on cheaper than dirt, but I don't want to pay $9.95 + shipping for blanks[:O]! Been looking on the web for the past week and contacted the gun store I've gotten blanks from before and still nothing has come up! Any suggestions? I'm looking for about 500 rounds. The cheaper the better! Thanks.
