im so registered.. how many ppl registered for restrepo hardcore?

The staff has further looked into how we may best be able to balance between player affordability, safety and fun. We have decided the best way to accomplish this would be make the following changes to the GPS requirements.

Hardcore – Each Hardcore Team is still Required to have at least one GPS unit per squad/team.
Hobbyist Team – A GPS unit is NOT required but is highly recommended.

We are able to do this because we will be taking measures to help minimize the chances for Hobbyist Teams from becoming lost. But for those who sign up for Hardcore, more will be expected from you.  I will say this overall, if a team has a GPS unit or good land nav and map reading skills, you will be more likely to get tasked "cool" missions and objectives.

So to recap, if you know how to read maps, use a GPS or compass and want to test yourself then you should really be signing up for Hardcore and remember one GPS unit per team is required.  If you just want something a bit more relaxed then sign up for Hobbyist and remember as a Hobbyist a GPS unit is not required but is highly encouraged.

u.   Equipment – Each team leader is responsible for insuring that his team has all the equipment necessary to complete the missions.

These items are required:

(1).   FRS Radio – all members must have an FRS radio
(2).   Primary Weapon
(3).   Ammo (Only biodegradable ammo with the exception of sniper rifles)
(4).   6 Magazines (NO High-Cap Mags, Only non-winding midcap or lowcap)
(5).   Uniform (Boots, Headgear, Jacket and Pants of selected team pattern)
(6).   Load Bearing Equipment
(7).   Food for 3 Days – 2 Cold Field Meals (Lunch is in the field)
(8.   Tent and Sleeping bag
(9).   A minimum of 4 quarts of water or a hydration system
(10).   Red “Kill” Rag
(11).   White “Wound” Rag
(12).   Wrist Watch
(13).   New & Sealed One Gallon of Water to be placed at resupply points on the field
(14).   Hardcore Teams Only-
·   Backpack to carry all of your equipment and supplies to FOB Restrepo during game on conditions 
·   GPS unit – Minimum of one per Hardcore Team

   Optional– These items are optional but highly recommended unit equipment:

(1).   GPS unit for Hobbyist Teams
(2).   50 ft. Para-cord
(3).   FRS headset
(4).   Binoculars
(5).   Extra batteries
(6).   Folding knife with no more than 3” blade
(7).   Cold Smoke – White or Orange
(8.   Note Pad and Pen
(9).   Side arm
(10).   Knee pads
(11).   Gloves
(12).   Signal mirror or whistle
(13).   Flashlight
(14).   Personal First Aid Kit
(15).   Poncho or Rain Jacket
(16).   Spare Red Rag

   Prohibited – These items are prohibited:

(1).   Explosive or incendiary devices
(2).   Smoke grenades or devices that use a flame
(3).   Personal vehicles on the field including bicycles
(4).   Real Firearms and/or live ammo
(5).   Bayonets

I registered for the hardcore; US SF as my primary and SAS as a secondary.  While looking at the uniform reqs, I saw that the uniform for SAS is DPM or "split."  Could one of the game organizers clarify as to what "split" is?  Different solid color tops and bottoms?  Mismatched desert and woodland DPM?

Just a reminder that after August 17th the registration fee increases to $75.  If you have registered but have not paid, you will need to pay in full by the 17th to qualify for the $50 registration fee.

You are correct Woodland DPM top with Desert DPM bottoms.
