« on: June 06, 2011, 08:51:58 PM »
rules are the same as all other a.a. games
same with fps limits.
the field has good cover, lots of shrubs.
some trenches and fox holes dug.
game time will be from ? am till whenever we decide to stop.
its starting to get warmer outside, so please bring water and some snacks.
we do try to play all day.
pm or text/call: 602-446-2280 for location details.

how early do we want to start? its getting hotter outside.
good thing bout this ao is it has lots of shady spots to stop in so you dont get to hot.
takeing opinions on start time. i would prefer texts for times though so that we dont clutter up the post with them.
ill post them to keep track of them.

hey whacker:
i say when we do the flag game again we need to set up the rules so that we have to get at least 5 of the other teams flags before we open up for all flags. the game was cool but we spent to much time looking for the flags on our own side before we ventured out for others. and i got some other colors so that we can make special objectives that would be worth more points. and getting shot in the ass makes for more incentive (just wish i hadnt have lost that one)
see you guys out there.

Reviews / review of the riotsc/SiegeTek gears
« on: May 02, 2011, 07:20:02 PM »
i finaly got the money to pick up a set of gears from riotsc/SiegeTek.
these gears look fantastic and they feel so smooth inside my v6 gearbox.
these gears are made to fit into v6/7 tm and compareable gearboxes.
they fit into v6 gearboxes by reversing the way the spur-gear bushings usualy sit.
these gears are made from:
"All gear components are CNC machined from chromium molybdenum steel rods, except for the bevel/anti-reversal gear component of the bevel gear in generation 1 gear sets, and for bevel gear component in generation 2 gear sets." (direct quote from his site)

the fit inside my gearbox is spot on.

i still got a few things that need to be done before i actualy run these in my gun, but they are by far the best gears i have seen.

ill start with the bevel gear.

it is made from 3 different pieces, the bevel, anti reversel gear, and the lil gear that turns the spur gear that has the shaft machined into it. if you look closely at the pics you can see this.
and they are made from:
"In generation 1 gear sets, the bevel/anti-reversal gear component is warm compacted from diffusion alloyed steel.  In generation 2 gear sets, the anti-reversal gear component has been updated and is CNC machined from chromium molybdenum steel as well.  Both hardened materials offer superior toughness and strength compared to that of the other aftermarket gear sets" (direct quote from his site).
some of the special features for the bevel gear are:
- Shape-optimized anti-reversal gear prevents uneven wear on the anti-reversal latch and reduces noise.
- Anti-reversal gear blocker prevents the motor pinion gear from contacting the anti-reversal gear. (its a ridge built inbetween the bevel gear and the anti-reversel gear

next is the spur gear.

its a 2 piece unit. there is the bevel-spur gear and there is the spur-sector gear that has the shaft machined into it.

and last but not least, is the sector gear.

as best as i can tell it is made from 5 pieces.
the spur-sector gear, sector-piston gear, 2 retaining pins, one of which engages the tappet plate, and the shaft  which has the power cut-off cam machined into it.
some special fetures of the sector gear are:
- Enlarged sector gear release tooth provides enhanced strength to cope with the accumulated spring load at the end of piston cycles.
- Shape-optimized power cut-off cam decreases cut-off lever reset time, which reduces the chance of trigger switch jam.
both of wich are visable in the pics.
i will do a further update/edit once i actualy fully build the gearbox.
some more of the parts that i will be useing for this build are:
km nozzle, cylinder/head
ca piston with full metal rack
not sure what piston head yet
area1000 metal bushings
systema bearing spring guide
systema 120s spring
havent decided on a motor yet think i want to try out one of these neo magnet motors
i will be useing a aws pulse mosfet to run the electrics

thank you for reading my review of these gears, of which i highly recomend.
along with his site, airsoftgi.com has picked up his line of products and they recomend profesional installation. that has to at least say a lil about the quality of his products.
for a small producer to be picked up by a mainstream seller.

Other items for sale... / custom chainmaille creations
« on: April 02, 2011, 08:32:40 PM »
for a long time i have made chainmaille, but it has allways been just a couple small things here and there. but now i have the meens to make more stuff then i have in the past. and since my time is no longer being taken up by activities that i shouldnt be taking part of, i got the time to make chainmaille and build guns.
here are some examples of the stuff i have in stock:

if you see anything you might be interested in pm me, trades will be considered. most of my stuff is made out of surgical stainless. i can do other materials, precious/semi presious metals but some of that stuff will require a deposit to cover materials. custom sizeing is avalible, have multiple sizes of the same design.

Introduce Yourself! / not new, just getting home.
« on: August 28, 2010, 02:55:49 AM »
some of you know me, some of you don't. i've been gone for quite some time. those of you that know me know why i've been gone. i have been told that there are a few people that are dissapointed in my actions. not everything that i was accused of  happened. i will admit to what i did wrong and i have paid for it with 3 years of my life. i have decided that the life i was leading is not the life i want to lead. i just wanted to let everyone know that i'm back, that i missed all my friends, and that i cant wait to get out there and play again.
if anyone has any questions feel free to ask. for those of you that wish to get ahold of me you can reach me at (cant remember the # off the top of my head, just got the phone today, i'll post it later)
mike simpson i still owe you a gun. i haven't forgot, i will get you paid back. i might still have the one that you gave me to repair, not sure yet, got a bunch of stuff that came back from impound, haven't had a chance to go through it yet.
not sure what else to say for now. i look forward to seeing you all.
oh yeah, i'm probly going to be quite rusty. so, all you guys that are just dieing to put some rounds in me, happy hunting.
one last thing, since i have been out of the game for so long, i know that there are some new things out there. id like to see some of the stuff i've missed. so if any one has any cool stuff that they would like to share, or tech tricks (i build all my own stuff) i'd like to hear about it. thank you
