Selling an AR-15
« on: February 09, 2010, 05:38:45 PM »
I own a brand new ar-15 and want to sell it legally?  How would I go about doing it?  I don't want to get ripped off by a gun shop but I also don't want to break the law.  Any suggestions.

If anyone is interested in the Ar I can send pics.  16 in sun devil.

Ask to see the buyer's driver's license. AZ DL = sale. No AZ DL = no sale.

That's the end of your legal responsibility.

If you are trying to sell it, pics, specs, and price all go a long ways in selling it.

It is quite frightening that you own an AR...yet don't have enough common sense on how to properly sell it to a private individual.. :|

I received the AR-15 as a gift. My wife doesn't like guns (besides airsoft) and she is pregnant and I need the money. I have never sold a rifle before thus that is why I don't know the proper and legal way of selling the rifle.  I never shot the rifle and I am the first owner. It would come with a 1 30 round mag. It is 16 inches. Here are some other specs of the website.

* CNC Machined from Solid Billet Upper and Lower
* Stronger than Castings
* Reinforced for Receiver Extension Tube
* Low Shelf - RDIAS Ready
* Hard Anodized
* Marked Multi Caliber for your Building Needs
billet upper and lower receiver.

Lothar Walther barrel

Flat top pica tinny rail.

Slick upper receiver.

gas block with pica tinny rail.

Exclusive* Tension Screw - Built into Lower Receiver

Our tension screw effectively eliminates any unwanted "slop" between upper and lower receivers for superior accuracy.

*Patent Pending

I would sell it for $850. It would come with a carrying bag, 1 mag, and a brand new ar-15.

There's another forum, arizonashooting.com - that you might take a look at.

Honestly, I don't see you selling it on here. Ever.

Good luck.

find someone with an FFL license and have them edumakate you on how to go about it.  They should know the laws, or just go ask the police dept.
