I never heard that, and I cant think of any reason that they would make one that way.  The real thompson has no three round burst.  Mine works fine.

Now, is he holding the trigger down long enuff just to make it seem like a 3 round burst? is it doing it on full, or semi, or both? is it firing all 3 bbs?

Full auto works fine.  Semi Auto shoots 3 bbs at a time.  Apparently it's been like this for a while, but never been opened up to see why.  I was just curious to see if this rumor was true.  It takes away from the reality, but the gun is still cool and 3 round brust is amazing.

There's a difference between firing a 3 round burst and 3 BB's coming out at once.  Sounds like maybe the hop-up has too much silicone oil in the bucking and is allowing too many BB's to feed at once to me, something you wouldn't notice on Full Auto since you expect a lot of BB's to come out.  Shoot a couple mags through it and see if it clears up any.

It fires 3x and 3 bbs come out.  I know the differance, i just worded it differently.  *Ree Ree Ree* is the sound you hear when you press the trigger once.  *Amazing sound of an 8.4 3000mah battery on full auto* when it is on full auto.   It is 3round burst.  I know that for a fact.

Maybe they did make it then, or you just got a bonus with a defective disconnector lever.  Let us know if it still does it after you gone through a bag of BB's.

A question on the Thompson M1A1
« Reply #6 on: September 01, 2004, 07:47:15 PM »
Hello,
My friend just bought the Thompson M1A1 by Tokyo Marui.  Never been used before, but out of the box it fired 3 round burst.  I heard a rumor that their was a special edition M1A1 that had this.  Is that true, or is just a postive defect?

i have the same problem, i dont know whats wrong but if you take the mag out and look into the hole the bb's feed through, fire it on semi and u will see the thing go back once like it's suppose to but then its basically free or loose afterwards and moves back 1 or 2 times feeding either 1 or 2 more bbs into it.  I dont know if this is the problem or not, its just what mine does  :?

First off, not mine, a kid who "used" to play with us.  His is still shooting full 3rd burst after about 3000rds through it.  The nozzle moves back 3x on semi, so 3rd is there, it's not 3 bb's feeding at once.  I wish I could make my m16 single and 3rd.

other then the burst problem, does anyone elses thompson when on semi auto shoot once, then 2 bbs at once, then goes to full auto, then just stops -when you pull on the trigger you get nothing-

I have a P-90 and I don't know how close the triggering devices are but I was cleaning it once and I was looking at how Semi an Auto works. On semi auto the contacts that are connected to the movement of the trigger and hit the contacts on the gear box and resets right away so you only get one shot. On auto it dosn't reset there for it continually fires untill you let go. Your gun my have a sticky reset or somthing and is touching the contacts together for a longer time before they reset, there for shooting 3 or so bbs. Just a thought.
I hope that makes sence, its kind of hard to explain.
