Gas Powered Guns / Just a little help for anyone looking to buy GBB
« on: September 04, 2002, 08:22:42 PM »
HFC P-229 sucks. Do not buy it. Don't waste money! Bah, I've had nothing but problems with this thing jamming on me since day one. So do yourselves a favor. Don't even remotely consider this as a gun to be put into your uniform. I am not exaggerating when I say it's like a springer. I will take a shot, and then take the mag out and cock it back so the jammed BB falls out. It jams after EVERY shot. Gah!

Sorry, I'm just getting fed up with this gun right now. The only thing it's good for is holding infront of a mirror.

Gas Powered Guns / Taurus 92fs
« on: September 01, 2002, 11:18:50 AM »
From 2 of my team mates that went to The Ranch this past Friday night (Cubbie and Gust), I heard that one team had 92fs's for their whole team. I heard nothing but high praise of this gun. Never jamming, FAST shots, and just allaround KICK ASS gun. So for 30 dollars, and being a gas gun, I'm kind of skeptical before i purchase one. (I'm jobless right now, so 30 is not something I need to waste). Has anyone had any major problems with one? Also, maybe just a summary of your expirence with this gun? Thanks VERY much :)

General Airsoft Discussion / Airsoft Dealers
« on: August 18, 2002, 10:20:27 PM »
Are there any stores, other than Command Post, that deal Airsoft supplies? If they have like 1 or 2 springer guns, no need to post it. thanks though. But are there any semi-decent dealers in Arizona? Phoenix area would be better, but no reason to not go for a drive :-P

Thanks

Gas Powered Guns / P229
« on: August 14, 2002, 03:13:03 PM »
I own a P229, fairly new. I've only shot it under 500 times, and it's been to one skirmish. My problem is, it jams like hell. I swear, every other shot I have to take out the mag, cock it back and let the BB slide out. Anyone know if this is just because the gun may suck, or am I doing something wrong? But it gets annoying, because with as much time I spend in the field letting the BB out, I should have just got a springer.

And on another note, whats your favorite GBB Pistol. I'll prolly be looking for a new sidearm if this keeps acting up. THanks :)

AEG's / Tokyo Marui MP5-A4
« on: August 13, 2002, 01:56:37 AM »
I'm looking to buy an nice all around AEG. Now, I like the MP5-A4, but I'm not too sure on how great the distance is. Anyone use this gun in CQB, and yet shoot at a distance? Can anyone help me, maybe tell some personal expirences, ect.? Thanks :) I'm under the impression that Tokyo Marui is the top AEG maker, what do you think? I just don't want to go waste hundreds of dollars and not be satisfied.
