polar star questions
« on: August 24, 2013, 12:59:00 PM »
I have been looking into getting back into airsoft after a long break and came across the polar star system. I have a g&g combat machine that i was hoping i could drop the fusion engine in but the question is what else would i have to purchase to get the system working and about how much it would all cost me. Thanks for the help !

Well you're gonna need the fusion engine itself, an air tank, an air line and a small battery to power the fcu. They sell complete kits for 689.99 on eBay. http://bit.ly/1fa7uFr

I know quite a few people that own them. That was the reason I bought mine. Gearbox failure is almost non exsistant. Your fps can be kept almost on the mark for every shot. And you can drop your fps for vanguard by dropping the psi on your air rig so you really only need 1 gun for all the different games you play.

I invested heavily into polarstar for my personal guns, and about half of my team did as well. No one I know that has a polarstar has regretted their performance. Some people dislike the HPA tank, but the performance of the engine itself is amazing.

I would recommend getting a custom Polarstar made by Bingo airsoft. I had my Ares Tavor converted for around 375 including the engine. Most airsoft guns (and even nerf guns) can be easily converted using the fusion engine upper. Rudy Hilado is a great guy to deal with and he will cover any and all issues you might have in the future. Check out his site and some of the work he has done. If im not mistaken, davidneitzelt had his SVD converted by Bingo as well. As for the HPA tank, I got mine on eBay for $30 and the lines and Reg for around $40. Theres no reason you need to spend $200 on a req set up when you can get the same results for $70 right?

I also do custom P* stuff, currently about to start doing a custom M2 Browning Machine polarstar build.

In fact, I just invested in a 3 axis CNC machine to do even more custom fab and install work, including custom logo and serial and trade engraving.

Rudy is a great guy though, if you didn't use me or someone else local, I've talked to him several times and he's a very good and talented guy.

He did my svd, install and custom "banana " for around 120$ I believe. I am working with nuke right now, he seems to know his shit. I have 4 p*. Great investment, if you plan on playing for a bit.
