Tactical Tailor MAV/X Harness
« on: July 24, 2010, 12:08:26 AM »
I am considering buy a Tactical Tailor MAV with an X harness. I was wondering if a standard hydration carrier will attach to the X harness securely? It seems like only the top MOLLE straps would attach and the bottom would just hang.

Thanks,
Tyler Mills

My understanding is that the bottom two short Malice clips on Tac Tailor's hydration carrier loop around the waist strap of the MAV.

It's not the most secure setup but it gets the job done.

That's what I figured. What about not having the x harness and just running hydration seperate? Would that work comfortably or would it just get in the way?

Something like this:

I had a TT MAV for a while.  I used it with the X Harness and hydration carrier.  It worked out pretty well.  I'd suggest the two piece MAV if you're going this route - it will make getting into and out of the vest much, much easier.

Thanks Matt. How adjustable is the rig? I Want to make sure it will fit tight around my body.   I'm 5'11" 155lbs.
