paint job?

so i was playing black ops II when i had this idea... "maybe i should paint my gun gold!"

and i am wondering. has anyone ever tried this?

i really want to and i am thinking of giving  it a try with one of my un-used GBB pistols.

good idea or bad idea?

Ive done a few gun pieces gold for accents but not the whole entire thing. It would be too flashy if it were all gold, at least to me.

I would only do it if it was a gun that I played indoors with, since camo doesn't really matter indoors..

Didn't look cool when Nicolas Cage did it, doesn't look good now. Better to accent a black finish with gold controls (trigger, safety, slide stop, ect.).
