WE gold plated m9
« on: November 04, 2010, 09:23:32 AM »
I recently got two WE gold plated m9s, its amazing because their performance is insane and the gold is, in fact, real 24k gold! i am very impressed, and i have wasted so much ammo firing them for the sake of firing them.
my only problem is the mags WE use, i prefer the HFC ones.

hahahaha. I think if you like the gold look it's definitely worth the money. Even if it's only $2 worth of gold. People pay way more than $50 just for looks in many things.

Now all you need is the 24k gold Ak47 :P. I would have mad respect.

DUDE!! i was thinking about getting a gold Ak XD

-face palm- maybe you didn't read what i said. i checked it, and its 24K gold. AKA the highest quality you can get. its just a thin plating and it was only an extra $40

No I read what you said. You obiviously didn't read what I said. Hell I can give you a pound of fools gold and tell you its 24K gold. How do you know its real other than what the ad says.

And an extra 40$ to stand out in the field

Pick, everyone has different styles of playing airsoft. Some more serious than others. From the looks of it, he isn't into milsim or anything too serious so why not get a cool looking airsoft gun? As long as it's not spray painted, why not? And sure, he is definitely more noticable in a game, but that will make every out he gets even better haha.

I say if you already have 2 gold pistols you might as well go all the way :P. Even if it doesn't get its use in the field, it will get it's use as a decoration for your wall. People pay $600 for a nice painting, so why not a golden ak? lol

Suppose I came off wrong on that. Point I was trying to get at was how does one know ts actual 24K gold and not some knock off imitation.

Whatever floats someones boat

Yes, that's true it may not be 24k gold. But it is still gold plated and that's all that really matters. I wouldn't assume that anyone would buy it because of the grade of the gold. The gun itself isn't all that great either, just a price tag for something out of the ordinary.

I think it is worth it IF you are looking for something out of the ordinary. If you are looking for a daily skirmish gun than it is not worth it, unless you have a very big budget.

You could fold the stock and use it as a CQB gun. That would be BA. In cqb the shine shouldnt give it away much at all.

I would pay an extra $40 for a gold 1911.  Why not, style is everything.

We actually had a kid who spray painted his AK a mix of gold and silver.  Didnt do much of a job with it, but it did stand out.

When I first joined this forum I read something about a girl playing a match with a purple and white M16.  I also read that she pwned everybody that day.  If you think about it, a lot of stuff in airsoft has more to do with cosmetics than with practicality lol

well you didn't read what I said. I had it checked to be sure.
Also to what u said about being noticeable on the field, do you think I'd use these for milsim?? :p I wouldn't do that. They are mostly for their awesome looks.
