That is unsatisfactory, both of the phone, and the insurance policy.

I would upgrade both.

Thank you all for your advice and recommendations. Just so use to the Army giving me everything and saying, “this IS what you are going to use, get use to it".

If you were issued the MBAV (plate carrier), it was made by Eagle Industries.

BCT is not a mental game.

It is not easy, but it's the likely the easiest thing you'll ever do in the military.  All you have to do is be in the right place, at the right time, in the right uniform, and have an open mind.

If you ever want to join, do it now.  The longer you wait, the more behind the curve you will be.  If you're a semester away from a bachelors, finish.  If not, let the GI Bill cover your education after you get out.

I went to school for 2 years and fucked around with retail jobs before joining at 23.  Now I wish I would have gone in at 17.

With regard to BCT being "easier", okay.  Send me some fucked up, fresh AIT graduate and I'll either fix him (if he's a good soldier) or get him out of the army (if he doesn't ant to be here).  BCT showed me what the army is like, AIT showed me what my MOS is like, and my Unit taught me how to combine both to become an asset.  The latter is where the real learning takes place.

The trend in airsoft is towards lame, poseur behavior and yelling a lot. To that, I say, nous defions.

I hope that particular group guys will, some how, get eyes on the big picture after a little more exposure to the national airsoft community.

KSC Perfect .25g.

I have tried many others, but I have always had good, consistent performance with those.  They are also among the least expensive BB brands, when purchased from Hong Kong vendors.  $8.50 or so for 3000rd bag plus shipping, if my memory serves me right.

That was a real fun time.

mgfoley - you did well.

Agreed, on both points.

I was pleased with the performance of our players.  Being detached from the main force for the majority of the weekend, I had but a glimpse into how things went.  From what little I saw, however, the AZ players had good communication, practiced good field craft and tactics, and possessed good stamina.  The latter being one of the most important traits a player can have at LC.

There isn't a group of guys anywhere I'd rather play with; you guys really are among the best in the national airsoft community.

My legs are killing me.

Where the pics at?

Or get some 550 para cord, and use that mil-green tape for a real SF look, at a cheap price.

[...]

Regardless of looks, it works.

What I did with metal M4 mags is cut a 4 inch piece of 550 cord, and gut it.  Tie a knot in each end and slide your magazine floor plate off.  Insert the knots between the mag body and the plastic insert (the part that holds the BBs inside the magazine), and slide the floor plate back on.  It will leave a small loop of cord at the bottom of your magazine to grab them out of your mag pouch.

Just a flash hider. The real one works well to reduce recoil.

And they turn the minimal muzzle blast of an AR into something like that of a 7.62.  On a 10.5 inch gun, indoors, it's ridiculous.

And, to clarify, the device pictured in the link is a TTO.  Like the FSC556 with the 4 prongs milled off.  The normal DNTC has two sets of ports, where the TTO only has one.

I'm a huge fan of PWS' CQB Comp, and saw an airsoft version the other day at Gearbox.

AEG's / Re: handguard on an M4

If you want to stick with plastic handguards, you could use some mid length and just move your gas block forward to fit.

A better choice in my opinion would be to install an Aluminum non-railed free float tube and run your LiPo pack inside it.  Keep it from sliding out the front with a set screw gas block.  This would give you much more grasping surface, and you could add picatinny rail segments as needed for your BUIS, VFG, or light.

I was wondering if there has ever been any large scale airsoft milsim or combatsim operations, like Lion Claws?
And if there never has been why hasn't anyone ever tried too, I think it would be cool to have something like Operations Irene or something.
Just wondering?

The games at Camp Navajo have been the largest I know of.

There might not ever be a game that draws a crowd like Lion Claws, considering John Lu's bread and butter is marketing, but there will be national-level games again in AZ in the future.

Well, maybe Education is a better term to use.  I meant it in the sense that it's good to be educated on it.

Precisely.  That is my biggest complaint about the law.

Everyone that carries a gun, concealed or not, should be aware of the AZ gun laws, especially the laws regarding when it's okay to shoot someone, and when it's not.  Consider it like going on patrol, but not receiving an ROE brief before leaving the wire.

What we, as gun owners, have with this new law is a lengthy piece of rope.  Hopefully we don't hang ourselves with it so the liberals can say "I told you so."

Now, who want to make some suppressors?

Note that the M240 is a medium machine gun, not a SAW.

But, anyhow-

I also have a long barrel on my Classic Army SAW, and appreciate the accuracy and range it affords me.  I like the 100rd soft pack ("nut sac") magazines because of the smaller size.  I have mine outfitted with an M4 stock, rail handguard, ACOG, PEQ-2 battery box, and have performed some modifications to make the gun a bit lighter.  This involved removing the gas knob, mount/cradle attachment point, carry handle, and front sight.

The Paratrooper stock was stupid heavy, and of terrible design, hence the removal and replacement with M4 stock.  I did this 4 or 5 years ago after hearing about certain units performing these modifications to their M249s and Mk46s.  Incidentally, a stock of this style can be had for less than $50 now for your airsoft SAW.

I have an upgraded gearbox, but it was so long ago I can't tell you what manufacturer produced the internals.  Box is the stock CA.

I run Firefox 1600mAh 11.1v LiPo packs with Deans Ultra Plugs.

It runs like a dream, and at the hands of my teammates, has been to many national games.
