How do I make my 249 and m4 louder?
« on: July 20, 2012, 11:59:48 AM »
How do I make my 249 and m4 louder? i looked online and found a few videos of hommade ways people did it but im looking for a more efficient way to make my guns louder. When I rattle off on someone i want them to know it. Anybody know how I might do this?

Guarder had a mod for V3 gearboxes a while back to make the bolt cycle. You modified the top of the gearbox. Stuck, essentially, an Allen wrench inside that stayed with the piston. And everytime it cycled was loud as hell.

Can easily be done with a some fabricated parts- all stuff you can find at Lowes. And a 6 pack.

A few of my friends have bought these:

They give your gun a pretty distinct sound.

In my opinion, those don't really make the gun louder, but they do alter the sound.

Just yell really loud when you pull the trigger ;D , but in all seriousness to the product that people have mentioned above (http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?products_id=32352) I have seen them several times in use and at least in my opinion they make the gun sound louder (as stated above might just be me mistaking a different sound as being something louder than normal, since I only usually hear them from a distance)

I've never used one personally, but I've seen and heard plenty of them on the field. They change the tone to a popping sound that carries further, and they seem to redirect more of the sound downrange. They work well enough, and if you want to check one out I know Infidel here on the forums has one for sale right now for about half MSRP, you can ask if he'd let you try it out before you buy it.

get a sound amplifier flash hider, if you want it louder than that you need to look into replacing your piston head/cylinder head with one thats more flat, versus a more concave shaped cylinder head and piston head, you want them to slap..

clap your hands while cupping them.. its quiet and muffled.. clap them while there flat its loud..

the easy way is to just get a sound amplifier.

Yep,

I got one for sale. KX3 Style. and if you come to me I would be happy to let you try before deciding to buy. Gives the shots a louder distinct sound. it will be heard quite a ways downrange and gets people to duck. this plus high ROF and it sounds crazy good.

Also drowns out the wine of the gearbox, you will still hear the GB but those infront wont, and solid "POPS" are far more intimidating then the normal gearbox noises.

PM me if you want to check it out.
