Part of the reason P* DMRs might not be allowed is that you can change the "semi auto only" feature by adjusting your FCU after chrono. Personally I wish they would allow P* DMRs because I am about to build one.
No, its purely field management. I.E. commonly AEGs are 400 with .25; HPA systems are relegated to 350 with .20g. Because magics. Theyre still not mainstream so I think it boils down to jealousy; there's no logical argument.
And like here, HPAs are locked into their own one category for all. You can't have a DMR or sniper HPA.
In the Tucson area, the pay field limits are 400 fps with .2's but they don't even ask what weight you are using and supply no BB's for chrono. California did the same which caused the issue on the pay fields there. .43's at 400 is the same energy as .20's at 585 FPS. Combine that with 40+ RPS, with an unlimited supply of BB's, and air due to 15 minute evolutions. Then POOF, magic. Also, most new Chinese clone AEG's shoot nearly 400 fps with .25's out of the box. That's not too smart with the short or no MED's.
In those CQB arenas all guns should be at 1.2 joules. However, that would diminish the number of eligible players with new, stock AEG's, which is norm out there.
Hmm. As a user of both AEG's and HPA systems myself, I can't see why there is an issue with a 1.55 joule limit. The limit is set across the board for all non "sniper" semi only/bolt actions. Personally, I feel that 1.55 joules are low for open desert, field play in here in Arizona, or anywhere else that has our conditions. As many people can attest, they have been witness to me wiping out entire squads at well over 300 feet with a model that is shooting within 1.55 joules. But I am a 1.82 Joule kind of guy.
Doing limits by joules is a far superior and safer method than by FPS though. Using joules limits "joule creeping" by using the BB's that the play is playing with on the field.
However, I do not understand why LC does not allow HPA in a model that fits all the criteria of "sniper" guns.
Is there a bill in the works? I haven't been able to find anything.
What a disappointment. Never though I'd see california fearmongering make it to arizona. What a sad day.
What do you mean?
Old guy, from an old team, here. I know this is not a discussion on camo, I think the thread owner, all of W1A, and XM, most of whom know me, will allow me, as a 21 year veteran of the United States Army to say one thing.
Although, I do find it flattering that people want to look the part as soldiers, SEALs, airmen, and Marines, many men and women like me disagree, and find it insulting. Also, for the most part and with a few exceptions, most look like crap. Faded, dilapidated, and unserviceable. I saw a kid at a 6CA game with MC trousers bellow his butt cheeks. Made me ill. With that common people, who love this country, may see you and think you are a service member. Its no different than putting on a police uniform and walking into Circle K. Current US government camos, AOR1, AOR2, Multicam, ABU, and UAC should be left to the service members they are intended for.
With all that rant, I'm bringing some Hawks out of Tucson. Its been real dead down here since LC. Desert DPM, of course (with a little A-TACS AU, and coyote, no green no MC).

I may be bringing +2 But one needs a gun if anyone has anything extra he can use. They'll probably be both for green
