KSC = KWA

That's about it

Taiwan = No trademarks, metal

Japan = Trademarks, plastic

ah, thanks. its interesting that the trades are worth more than the material. Over here though, most all trades get destroyed anyway.

so is KSC just a premium KWA? or the other way around? or is it another taiwan/japan thing.

KSC is supposed to be nicer than KWA, but that's another Japan/Taiwan thing (in that order).

In gas guns if you use 134a get Japanese guns. If you use Green/Red Gas get Taiwanese. I like Taiwanese guns personally.

A lot of HFCs aren't too bad.  I've got a KJW and its about half and half. It is mostly metal, and it has most of the trademarks.  Its not too bad of a deal to me.

I use mostly Green gas and Coleman propane, whichever I might have at the time. I'm pretty certain I like KJW (Taiwanese) the best, so I'll be alright. (thanks for the tip)

I've had one HFC. The kick was weak, and it fired inconsistently. (but it was full auto capable) I did however like the feel and look.

I have had 2 KJW's in the past, one M9 Vertec, and one P226, loved them both, but sold them both. The M9 because I needed cash... and the 226 because it does not fit my huge palm and small fingers well. The Vertec fits best, among 1911 grips and most all Beretta grips.

Besides... I have a real steel Vertec, (96FS) so it makes sense to get the airsoft version. I think I'm gonna get another one.

After browsing about 20 pages of GBB discussion, and personal experience with KJW, I think KJW is the best choice.

KWA is KSCs export brand, since Japan doesn't follow "normal" trademark laws and therefore weapon trades are legal there but not technically "legal" elsewhere.  Basically, KWAs are untraded KSCs, with a crappy metal slide to make up for it.  KSCs also come available with metal, fully traded slides, much like my KSC USP.45 with metal barrel and slide with full beautiful trades.  A lot of people selling "Shooters Design" slides are actually boffing you and selling you KSC traded slides for many guns, especially the USP.

Wei-Tech and HFC are the same company, but offer different models (both of similar quality though).

Then theres WA, the king of GBB, TM (you know that), the queen of GBBs, and then the rest, all the way down to KWC (not to be confused with KWA/KSC), which are teh suck but fun to get to shoot around.
