<br />I bought a M249 para and a PGC gearbox from Den Trinity and I was going through the parts list I need for the new gearbox and had some questions.
1. Do most cylinder sets include the piston head ,it appears so from the pics but I am not sure.
2. what do "torque up" gears do and if I ordered these would I want to order a "torque up" motor?
I have followed the M249 thread on ASP but I did not see the answers there and these are a little more general questions.

This is the gearbox which accepts TM-type parts, correct?

It wouldn't help any for me to ask why you didn't just go the ANGS route with the cylinder (replacing bellows), and keep the internals as is, so I won't ask.

Now, being that it accepts standard gearbox parts, this part is easy.

I bought a Systema Silent piston head set, and it came with a piston head, and cylinder head.  I bought the cylinder separately.

The "Torque Up" gears are a different ratio, and provide a slower cyclic rate, and more power to pull the piston back (no FPS gain, though).  If you install them, you can run a hotter spring, and will NOT need a torque up motor.  Now, I have heard that support weapons require a hotter spring than regular mechboxes due to the short stroke of the cylinder or bellows.  Since you have the PGC box and it uses a regular cylinder, I would imagine the FPS will be similar than if the same parts were installed in a version 2, etc.

The ANGs cylinder set comes with a new piston head.  You'll need to order the Guarder polycarb piston as well so you can use standard AEG springs.  Get an PDI170% spring for it.  as far as the motor goes, the M249 and M60 guns use a different style motor and I don't think I've seen any replacements for them, I could be wrong though.  You won't need torque up gears unless you're planning on running an M130 or higher spring.  Not to make you feel bad, but the new gear box is not a great improvement IMHO.  I've yet to see or hear of a stock gear box failing on an M249.

Air goes in & out and blood goes round and round, any variation of this is bad.
