Gas Powered Guns / Re: KWA Puffing Problem
« on: July 31, 2013, 06:26:39 PM »
(I know this is a slightly older post, but this is a common problem for many GBB pistols and here is the cause/solution to it.)

I have the TM XDM 40 and it does the same thing in the summer when I use propane in it. I have benn talking it over with Jared (the old gear box tech) and our ending conclusion was it's a built in safety in the mags to prevent too high of pressure gas from being released into the gun and possibly causing it to break.  When switching to a lower pressure gas, in my case HFC134a, it fires perfectly. It's a temperature problem with the guns. So the solution is just use lower pressure gas in the summer and then you can return the the other gas after the temperatures drop down

Clearer rules are being figured out as we get a list of the game types we are going to do. Just be patient and we will have the rest of the rules, and other specifics posted.

O come on man! I had just figured out how to get my .45 to shoot 6mm pellets!

I was going load some 6mm bbs into some shells for my 12Ga shotgun......

Rules and FPS limits are set by organizers to reduce the possibility of injuries.  In my experience, No limits greatly enhance the chance of injury, no matter how well intended the person shooting meant to be. No one likes getting a tooth shot out or having to remove bb's from their body and it looks like most have expressed their own feelings on the topic.

Overall, you can host your game with your own rule set. Just don't be surprised when the only ones who show up are you and your friends....

This has been my experience in the past as well.
I have always liked the higher FPS limits, but you do need limits.
Generally if you stay in the range of 375fps with .25s for full autos, and 525fps for semi-auto/bolt sniper rifles, will prompt the most people to attend your event, as it allows most all guns to be used, while keeping the injuries to a minimum.
While most people will use their common sense and play safe regardless of the rules, there will always be a few that won't give a darn  and could careless if they hurt anyone (there are no rules so what I did was allowed)

AEG's / Re: Help with Aug A3 purchase!!!!
« on: April 18, 2013, 11:15:25 PM »
A Tokyo Marui AUG was my first gun years ago. I loved it. But like people are saying, what brand are you looking at getting. The difference between a high-end AUG and a lower price one is night and day. Are you looking at doing upgrades to what ever gun your getting? That plays a big role in it as well.

The biggest question you need to ask yourself is: Do you like the AUG style of gun. Does it feel good in your hands. If yes then get one. You just have to choose what brand and what upgrades you want in order to get the gun to fulfill the role you have in mind for it.
