For those new to Combat Challenge, this event will challenge you mentally and physically.  The Camp Spartan AO is high on the mountain and cool during the summer but the terrain will work you over.  If you are into milsim and want to see what so many other milsim teams buzz about then these guys put on an awesome experience.  Highly recommend attending.

Thanks for the support guys! as you may know we are working on building up a realistic OP for the event so the sooner you guys sign up and pay, the more money we can put into the field for this event instead of the next event. We have to bring in a front loader and a dozer and they are not free. Also if you would like to help build up the field please PM me for details.

This is the same AO that OP Agogae was in, it is an amazing area to play in, you can get to the staging area in cars fine (it's a very well maintained dirt road), a bit hilley, but makes for some great game play, Provided i dont have anything going on with work ill be there

I may or may not be able to make this one based on summer plans and having family in town that weekend.  I'd like to donate the price of admission either way to support the organization.

Right now I am working on getting a head count for DH.  We are looking at Russian Spetsnaz with our 45th VDV impression.  Once we have a base roster setup we will get folks paying to help with the earlier build out.

I am personally 50/50 for this because of family vacations (even though I signed up).  But I know TPA will be bringing some.

UPDATES:

We will be using the same location as OP Agoge but a slightly different Area of the field. We will be operating closer to the top. But the hard core teams will still get to jog down into the valley occasionally.

So far it looks like we will get a few out of state teams, as well as several local ones.

We really appreciate those who have already paid. It will help us put the money into this event and not the next one. So if you haven't paid please do so. The sooner you pay the less likely you will be asked to change units in order to balance forces.

Also, the Regiment put together a phenomenal map for their team at the last op and have offered to let us use it for this one.

Just a couple of updates.

We have confirmed 3 Hummvee's for use on the field. We will also have the following advisors:

Nathan - US Air Force ParaRescue

Matt Coast - US Navy Seal

Steve Bernard - US Army Ranger

Dylan Muller - US Army Forward Observer

Kyle Dubay - US Army 82nd Airborne - Combat Medic

Josh Landsburg - US Air Force TACP

Beau Racus - US Army Infantry

I have gotten to know just about all of these guys and they are great guys. They have all served combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan and will be working with the teams as CIA advisors to provide mission intel. We may even get an opportunity to hunt them down. Be careful though, these guys are wrestlers so they are mountain goats up there!

Also the last day to pay is August 17th. After that it goes from $50.00 to $75.00. So be sure to support the event and get your payment in ASAP.

Scenario:

With the increasing draw down of coalition troops in Afghanistan, the Korengal Valley has been left completely undefended and virtually uninhabited. Al Qaeda has been all but eliminated as a threat. However, there are those who see profit in this valley and will do anything to protect their interests. There are Kings and Pawns in this world. Which are you!

This will be a unique operation as advanced teams (hard core teams) will have to move into enemy occupied territory (Hint Hint) and reestablish OP Restrepo late Friday night. Reserve teams (the rest of you) will reinforce the advanced teams at first light. Enemy forces may try to attack at first light so the first objective will be to set proper defenses quickly. OP Restrepo has been abandoned for some time so that may mean filling and moving sandbags, clearing fields of fire, and patrolling the perimeter. That is of course if the enemy doesn't overrun Restrepo first.
