M4 Most accessories. Cheapest parts. Easy to find magazines. For most, they own AR 15 at home so it's an easy crossover from field to range.

I may show up with some Shadow Vipers. I know I'll be there for certain though.

Donations? Technically that wouldn't be a business. I know nothing about the legal ramifications, so feel free to educate me. I suppose if there's a certain donation target, a game could be played. I assume some form of non profit paperwork may be needed. Perhaps if it was under an airsoft association with the intended purpose of uniting the community or pick some bs political subject like helping people enjoy airsoft and keeping them healthy and from illegal habits?

I'm sure I'm just kicking a dead horse but it was something that popped in my head.

For cheap furniture in the CQB area or as debris in the field, I would roam the dumpsters at the ASU dorms when we get closer to summer break. They throw out so much usable stuff during moves. Even at my apartment complex in chandler I occasionally pick up a newer entertainment center or end table that someone casually tossed aside. Another idea is to search out rouge dumping areas. It's sad, but there are people who leave good obstacle material all over AZ. Just keep an open eye out.

If you need a hand with building anything, I'm good with any kind of construction. I build props and trinkets at home for miscellaneous events and wouldn't mind the bigger challenge.

My two cents on layout would be to have a broken down (whatever) in the center of the field for a good objective point. If you could build a replica helicopter crash scene, that would be ultimate. Might be able to pull that off with a rivet gun or screws, some sheet metal, and 2x4 framework.

Did anyone else get any good footage on their helmet cams? I know there was a guy out there with a telescopic camera. I'm interested to see more media from this game. I had such a great time!

Troubleshooting / KJW p229 Front Sight Lost
« on: March 31, 2013, 06:39:33 AM »
Hey airsofters,

So I'm out running around shooting my lovely p229 and I bring it up for a precision shot and for the life of me, I cannot line up the sights. I pull back and look at my gun thinking I'm crazy, those front sights are usually on there pretty solid. Nope. All gone. I spent all of a half hour combing for it and to no avail.

So, who here has had a similar issue and knows what I can do about a replacement? I didn't find anything online and I don't want to purchase real steel parts if they will not fit. Advice anyone?

Thanks!

Had a great time with some freelancers at Tempe. Hoping they will join up on the forums. Great sportsmen and good players. Great game too, very casual.

Also good to mention, Tempe Paintball has a leftover shipment of knives from the old Gearbox Airsoft Shop. The knives are a blowout deal. I purchased a karambit and pocket folder for $3 each. Some nice fantasy style blades as well. Had a pair of wolverine claws. Swing by and get a knife while they're still there!

Since Moose is away on an event, here goes nothing:

Come out and sling some CQB plastic. A little short notice since it will be open from 2-8pm. If you have your Friday receipt, it's free. Otherwise $26.50 for all day field rental. Located on McClintock and Apache. Real laid back, lowest overall CQB in the valley.

350 fps w/ .20 semi-only
Full face protection required

See you there.

Great gun. I love my m14. Heavy little guy at 11lbs base weight. Be sure you buy a top rail mount if you plan on putting any advanced sight or scope on it. You will also want to take note to NOT fiddle with the mock bolt as they are prone to break. Many either upgrade, remove, or mod them. Make sure you rewire your gun and batteries to Deans Connectors and you should be ready to go. Whenever you can, ditch the stock battery and invest in LiPO batteries. They are smaller, more powerful, and last longer - an upgrade in every way. You'll want to read up on how they work (if you don't already know) to avoid literally burning them up or blowing them up.

If you go with the M14, there are plenty like myself who own one and know tips and pointers to share. Hope to see you on the field soon!
