This is a great idea for a field.
« on: April 10, 2011, 05:14:52 PM »
I was watching some airsoft on youtube and saw a video of scoutthedoogie playing at a place I havn't seen in any of his other videos. They we're playing at an abandend shopping mall, kind of like metro center( not metro center mall, the Metro center where toys r us and that other stuff is). Anyways, it was cqb but from building to building and street battles. I think we should make a field like this. Here is the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xH71haZn4Sg

I'm sure you could find somebody ready to drop $150,000 on an airsoft field in this economy.

There's actually an abandoned neighborhood out on Higley Road somewhere completely fenced in with a decent amount built. The guy building it went bankrupt and had to abandon the project.  Me and my Uncle stopped by to look at a few weeks back to take a gander and mess around with some RC cars and noticed quite a few kids out airsofting there. I never really said anything too them besides that they probably shouldn't be playing there due to the legal issues and whatnot. But I'm sure if someone could get LEGAL permission to play in an area like that it would be pretty neat.

That's the only thing, it would be expensive.

Finding a place like that is easy. Playing there is an unsurmountable obstacle.
You ever hear of the term "liability"? You young guys should get to know it well.
You'll face it in just about every aspect of life. Especially when it comes to things that sound "fun".
There are places like this to play at. You have to pay for them and drive more than 5 miles to them.

I know which one you are talking about.  I was in talks with the owner to use it as an airsoft facility and it fell through because of the insurance policy requirement.

I'm not saying we should just go play at some random factory/mall/neighborhood, i think someone should open an actual field in one like any other airsoft feild

ex: fighter town, fort adobe etc.
