Gear compatability
« on: March 03, 2012, 09:30:15 PM »
I've been trying to decide between a MOLLE Camel back or a stand alone backpack  the question is will it work with my current loadout?

MOLLE and PALS are nearly indistinguishable by now to the best of my knowledge.

MOLLE is the equipment that goes on PALS webbing. They're used interchangeably by most people.

If your only going to use it for airsoft, go molle. It doesn't shake around as much that way. The only problem with this is that if you don't have a counter weight on the front of your vest (a plate, lots of mags and other pieces of kit, ect) the front of your vest will tend to rise up to your lower neck and become annoying and the only way to get it down is to drink the water to equalize the weight, or make the front of your vest heavier.

Go with MOLLE, most MOLLE camelbacks should come with detachable straps to use as a standalone backpack if you so choose anyways.
