APS2 Downgrade = accurate?
« on: July 29, 2005, 05:59:40 PM »
When I found out that my aps2 was shooting 540..I was a bit upset, But atleast that helped me understand all the crazy ranges I was getting at the Prescot game. So I got a different spring, my guess is its shooting.. 470.. give or take. Its got .04 more BB weight than my m4 and it will go about 20 feet further... sucks, I know.. But.. ITS MORE ACCURATE! crazy?! I think so..

Nate told me to go take some pictures where the BB is floating in the air through my scope, so I did. The scope isnt zeroed.. but when you think about how on the 2 pictures where its 3x zoom, they are in the exact same spot, then on the 2 pictures with 9x zoom they are in the exact same spot.. its pretty cool.

(sorry the pics are so.. fuzzy, I was trying to hold the rifle steady, and shoot with one hand, and take a picture with the other hand..)

3x zoom:

9x zoom:

It would look better if I would have zeroed it in.. But from the LCD on the cam.. I couldnt even see the BB.

EDIT: Here is the area:

Somewhat short range, but about 20 ft past that wall.. the bb would start to fall.
