Hey! AIRSOFT!!! Official Airsofter1 Game 23 JUN 07
« on: June 19, 2007, 12:35:11 AM »
This is the second official Airsofter1 game for the month of June.

Location: Prescott AO
Time: Early

All AA rules apply, 18+ unless with sponsor or legal guardian.

The meeting spot is at the Standard/Chevron station on the west side of I-17 at Anthem Blvd (north side). Meet there at 0600hrs. Take I-17 north through Phoenix towards Flagstaff. Exit at Anthem blvd. and turn left at the offramp onto Anthem. Go over the freeway (west) and travel approx. 400 meters(yds) to the filling station. We are meeting there at 6:00 am and leaving at 6:30 sharp. If you miss the meet, continue north on I-17 and exit on the AZ69 at Cordes Junction towards Prescott. Once in Prescott proper, get onto Gurley Street and head west to Whiskey Row (on the west side of the Courthouse Plaza), turn left onto Whiskey Row and head south. The road will wind up a hill and to the west as you clear the business district. Once you top the hill, there is an independant Gas Station on the right side of the street. There may be a few people there at the gas station. If not, then turn right onto Copper Basin road. The road is paved for about 3 miles then becomes a dirt road. It is well graded and fine for passenger cars. Continue up the dirt road until you pass through a wash. After the wash, the AO is approx. 1 to 1.2 miles on the left as you make a turn to the south and start to level off. Look for the vehicles and campsite on the left side. Hope to see you there.

Nice advance notice!

Dont believe Sten, he will probably find some lame reason he can not go!

Got to see what the plans for construction are this weekend, if I can swing it though I will be there.

What is the scenery for this AO like?
Will it be similar to Mt Ord?
And is it flat, hill, or both?

Also, about how long is the drive from the meeting gas station to the AO?

The terrain is similar to Mt Ord.  Its in the Prescott National Forest, wooded terrain, flat and hilly, though not as steep in places like Mt Ord.  AO size is not limited by the elevation changes.  There are a few service roads through the area.  I'll find some pics and post a couple for you to see tonight.
