Local Games Listing/RSVP / Op: Red Sleigh Down 3 --- Intel Updated ---
« on: October 03, 2007, 09:36:44 AM »
Hello all;

We will be holding a Red Sleigh Down 3 event this December.  This will be a weekend event.  Right now the admission fee is looking to be around $20-25, plus a new, unwrapped toy.

Discussion and info on the event can be foudn here: http://www.tucsoncoalition.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=1592

The link for the sign-up roster can be found here.http://www.tucsoncoalition.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&p=12027#12027

INTEL
WHERE: Rosa Canyon (I think that's what its called. Bio check me on this).
WHEN: December 7-9.

SITREP: The small village of Mikulowa, Poland had been under constant attacks by criminal forces seeking to push the villagers out of the area. Mikulowa sits roughly 7km from the German border. Polish forces have been severly taxed dealing with anti-terrorist operations and can't spare the manpower. Both U.S. and Russian forces were dispatched to help out the village and rout the criminals.
The criminals turned out to be a terroist cell belonging to Spectre. The fighting was pitched and heavy, with Spectre showing they had for more available than just some pistols and shotguns. U.S. and Russian forces were still succesful in routing Spectre from the area.
While U.S. and Russian forces worked well together against a common foe, that quickly changed in the aftermath. From interrogations and uncovered documents, both sides learned that Spectre had a number of secret projects in the area. This has started a gold rush between the two sides, with the town right in the middle. As if that wasn't bad enough, mercenaries in the area have been hired to nab certain items as well.

-------------------------------------------
RULES AND NOTES
This is designed to be a weekend operation. The location has a lake and a complete ghost town (with even run down vehicles I'm told). There are two major sides, with special forces on both sides. There is also a small merc unit that can be hired by either side... more on that later.
Each side will have objectives that need to be met. Based on the completion of those objectives, a side will receive a number of victory points. The side with the most points at the end of the weekend wins the game.

MEDICS
Each force will have a certain number of medics. These medics will carry a medic bag. When you get hit, go down and yell medic. If a medic gets to you within roughly two minutes, he'll wrap a band of electrical tape around your arm and tap you on the shoulder. At that point you are back in the fight. If 2 minutes goes by and no medic shows up, go ahead and head back to respawn.

RESPAWN RULES
The rules will vary depending on the scenario, but most of the games will have respawn available.

MERCS
It is possible to hire the mercs. When the mercs are available for hire on a scenario, the leaders for both sides go into a bidding war, offering up as many points as they wish to spend from thier victory points. The mercs do not get these points directly (so they can't win the weekend by having more points than the two sides). The side that wins the bidding war gets to use the mercs for that scenario.

GEAR

The location is south of Green Valley and will probably be quite cold at nite. As such, it is definitely recommended to bring warm weather clothes, gloves and head gear. Additionally, a good sleeping bag and even blankets would be a good idea. Don't forget the tent. Definitely bring plenty of water. Other than that, all you need if your gun and a good attitude.

BB'S
The owners of the site have indicated we have to use truly biodegradable bb's. In order to secure our ability to play here again and again, it's imperative we make sure to keep them happy. As such, do NOT bring your own bb's. We will make sure to have true bios on site. The only option to bringing your own bb's if you can show us that you brought real bios and they are in a new, unopened container.
Sports Authority is carrying true bios. they are Palco Sportsâ„¢ 6-mm ECO BB'sâ„¢. They are biodegradable and designed to dissolve naturally in 7 - 10 days.

RAFFLE PRIZES
We are hoping to have all kinds of raffle prizes, but we have no solid intel on that yet. However, let me say this. When you show up, you'll receive a raffle ticket. Additionally, there will be presents which may hold extra ammo, an extra raffle ticket, etc. So keep your eyes open.

Any questions, just let us know and hope to see you there.

Urban would be fine for NOD.  Basically just anything that is a darker coloration that won't be confused with Tan colors.  :)

You can access the game roster here.

http://www.tucsoncoalition.com/modules. ... opic&t=710

Date: August 10th to 12th, 2007
Place: Copper Creek

Situation: The world is entrenched in the Tiberium Wars and the GDI are struggling against both NOD and somehow preserving the few habitable zones left on the planet.

A GDI recon plane found a section in Arizona that for some reason appears to be tiberium free... and no one knows why. This is especially odd since almost all of Arizona is completely uninhabitable. GDI command has ordered the 9th Combat Brigade into Copper Creek. Thier mission is two fold. First is to set up a stagging base to hold the creek. Second is to protect the scientific team that will drop in once the base is established and find out why the tiberium hasn't encraoched into the area. Such a discovery could halt the tiberium plague sweeping the planet.

NOD is not unaware of GDI's intentions, however. Thanks to a spy in GDI, the situation has reached Kane's attention and NOD commandos are being sent to wrest control of Copper Creek.

The stage is set. Will you support the noble GDI, or the nefarious Brotherhood of NOD?

-------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok, now for the serious stuff. This is planned as a weekend event with camping. It is VERY important that we not trash the place, so bring plenty of trash bags.

From research, the drive to the beginning of Copper Creek is pretty mild, but it gets rougher the farther back to "road" goes. So if anyone has a 4 wheel drive (truck, jeep, etc.) they can lend for transport it would be appreciated.

The creek should be roughly 5 to 10 degrees cooler than Tucson, but still bring plenty of water. Also be prepared to camp, which means tents and the like. Did I mention to bring plenty of water?

Uniform requirements. GDI will be tan or light colors. NOD will be dark colors (woodland etc.). NO Exceptions! Make sure you have the proper uniform.

Standard infantry weapons have a 400fps limit with .20g BB's and a 10 foot no shoot zone.

Sniper Rifles have a 500fps limit with .20g and a 50' no shoot zone.

Grenades will be allowed and have a 15 foot kill zone. Any airsoft versions will be allowed, or fake plastic ones. DO NOT bring fake metal ones to the game. Make sure to tie a bright colored streamer to your grenade so you can find it later.

Medic rules will be in affect. Each person will be given a wound card. When you are hit (no matter where), hit the ground where you are and start yelling out medic. When (or if) the medic gets to you, he will pull out your would card and determine how long he has to spend patching you up and then tell you what restrictions you are under due to the wound. If you get shot while wounded, you are dead and have to respawn. Leave any medic supplies at the respawn point so that you no longer appear wounded. If you are hit and a medic hasn't gotten to you for 5 minutes, go to the respawn point.

EYE PROTECTION IS A MUST! Your eye protection should be ANSI rated. Wire masks will NOT be allowed unless you are wearing ANSI rated protection underneath the mask. If you do not have the required protection, you will not be allowed to play.

The date is about as set as I can make it right now, but maybe subject to change, so keep an eye out. If you have any questions let me know.

Ok.  The Marines informed us we can actually turn toys in on the 18th, so we've moved the game to the 17th.  Time is still the same as is the location.

Oh, and we should have some sponsorship from Jungle Toy for this one.  I have yet to hear what we will have to raffle off, but hopefully I can post that soon.

Sorry its taken me so long to reply.  Work has been insanely busy and life just piles on to it.  :?

Ok. Game will be on the 17th. This game is by invitation only.  In order to be "invited", you have to show up with a new, unwrapped toy in hand.  No toy, no play.  Toys will go to the annual Toys for Tots campaign.  I'll have some loose scenarios written up, but mostly it'll be a day of go out and shoot each other. ;)

This game will be in Tucson at the NorthWest Op site.  Briefing will be at 0800 and guns up at 0830.  We will plan approximately four hours for play.

so then ditch the scenario until next time. at least we should get a place to play something, anything.

Well, I have to work that day, so I'm out of any kind of daytime scenario.  I really don't like the idea of doing a night game at the tanks.  Too much change of somebody doing something wrong and getting injured.

isnt there somewhere we could just move the game to since there are so many committed people?

Well, the problem with that is finding a field WITH buildings in a short notice.  Which I doubt is going to happen.  :(

I could move it to missile tank, but it wouldn't fit with what I had planned for the scenarios as easily.  :(

Well, it appears there was some kind of scheduling glitch and the paintball field was already reserved for a paintball event.  I'm going to go ahead and cancel the event.  I apologize for the inconveinece guys.  I'm not sure if this was my bad or thiers, but I'll take the blame on it if you need someone to complain to.  ;)

Hope to see you guys next time and I'll start looking at planning Midnight Madness for October and make sure we've got the space to play.

Team FE and TAC would like to invite you all out to a night game on the 19th of August.  This will be held at the Sudden Impact Paintball field in Tucson.  Age limit is 16.  Sudden Impact's field fee will apply.  We will start meeting at 1800 hours.  Game will start at 1930.  Minimum game time is slated for four hours, possibly more.

SITREP:  The sherrif's department in a small town in Northern Massachusetts called in a frantic report about being overrun by a gang of some kind, but it was highly garbled and prematurely cut off.  Since then, the town has gone completely offline.  The Boston FBI, in conjunction with the national guard, has been tasked with investigating the issue.  The goal of the FBI is to determine what's going on and quell the disturbances in town.

Umbrella Corporation has a reasearch building near the town that has also lost communication.  Umbrella will send in thier own team of covert specialists to assess trhe situation and determine threat to the company.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The game will have four groups; the FBI, the National Guard, Umbrella Corporation Covert Squad and the Gang.  Each group has it's own specific objectives to attain.

  The following dress code applies;
FBI - Slacks, shirt and suit coat.  We should be able to shoot you and bury you in the same suit.  ;)
National Guard - Standard Woodland or closest thereof.
Gang - You get it easy.  Civillian clothes.
Umbrella - A set of BDU's that isn't woodland or close to it.

If you're interested, just let me know what team you want to be on.  When you register with me, please send me your best email address so that I can send you info on what you're role will be.  :)
