Wasatch/Weesatch price increases
« on: May 19, 2005, 06:15:58 PM »
FYI, the price on the Wasatch and Weesatchs will increase by $20.00 starting May 20th, 2005, to reflect the increase of the new-style, plus increases in material and delivery costs.

Starting May 20, the price of the Wasatch will be $205.00 and the Weesatch will be $180.00

I have a limited number of the "old style" left in inventory that I can still sell for the old price:

1 Wasatch in Khaki
a couple of Weesatches in OD/Khaki

Once these are gone, they're gone.

Good.  Maybe people will start selecting other, more diverse pieces of kit rather than getting one because everyone else has one.

What's new, Tim?  For 20 bucks it better include a camelbak bladder and kydex chest holster.

Not good if they don't buy it from me... :)

s for "what's new", pretty much the tri-glide buckles that allow the front half to be worn like a RACK.

Otherwise, the rest comes from a general increase in labor and materials costs.

Wow, that's quite an increase!  Price increases are common.  Heck, Paraclete raised their prices, and a few others did too.

Is HSGI increasing their prices for ALL items?  If it's a materials and labor issue, I would imagine so.  If they are not, it's evident that perhaps they are just charging more for the popular 'satches because they can.

They were never meant to stay at that price.

That price was what HSG calculated for one of the unit-sized orders that got this item off the ground and was done in such a large quantity that the $160 made sense.  It took Gene a while to catch up and calculate what the "small batch" price was, which then raised it to the $185.00
