Real Firearms / WTS: $6/each 30rd M16/AR15/M4 Magazines
« on: July 16, 2009, 08:57:26 AM »
I have switched to polymer magazines, so I need to get rid of these.

I have about 30 or so used USGI-type 30 rd mags from various manufacturers.  They all work fine.  All but a couple have the newer green followers, should that matter to you.  They are all Mil Spec, meaning they are anodized and coated with grey dry film lube.

These would be a great starting point for some Magpul followers and ranger plates!

I'd like $6/each.  I'll make a deal if you buy several.

No pics, but you all know what they look like.

Trades:  .223 Rem/5.56 ammo, 9mm Luger ammo, .45 ACP ammo.

PM with offers.

Real Firearms / FOR SALE: M&P .45 Flat Dark Earth
« on: August 19, 2008, 06:42:57 AM »
I don't use this pistol anymore, and I need the cash for other things, so here it is (image taken from website):

-Smith & Wesson M&P .45, Flat Dark Earth frame, Full-size with Thumb Safety. Less than 1K rounds through it, works like a charm and has been very well maintained. Comes with 6 full capacity mags (1 black bumper and 5 FDE), hard case and all the s*** that came with the gun. $575

I'd like to sell this face-to-face. FFL transfers are a hassle for both buyer and seller.

The gun cost me 625, and mags are $29 each. I spent over $740 on this setup, but it's yours for $575.

Cash only if sold face to face. AZ Drivers License will be required for purchase just to verify AZ residency.

If you have any questions about the model of pistol, please look it up. Condition is great, and there are no wear marks except on the barrel hood from normal firing wear and tear. I have treated this gun very well, and only used quality, factory-loaded ammo.

Post here and send me a PM if you want to buy.

Airsoft Items FOR SALE / SOLD: G&P 4x ACOG replica
« on: July 27, 2008, 04:08:58 PM »
G&P replica Acog, with bullet drop reticle.  4x magnification, NOT THE RED DOT.

Painted desert camo, and has a chip in the lens.  The scope still works fine, but the upper portion of the eye lens is distorted because of the crack.  This thing is by no means in great shape, but it is still fully functional.  I used this at the last Lion Claws game with great success.

Mounts to any railed upper, or you can remove the mount base to mount on an A2 upper or carry handle.

$90 OBO

PM with offers.

Site Suggestions / READ CAREFULLY: Suggestion to Forum Members
« on: October 19, 2007, 12:03:53 PM »
Dear fellow AA forum members,

I'd like to share with you some of my more recent concerns.  In the near past, there have been certain new forum members that are underage for our hobby, yet still have brought it upon themselves to take every opportunity to pollute our fine, informative forum with every simple thought that crosses their mind.

I assure you, us Moderators will take every opportunity to completely delete every pointless, useless post, necropost, and attempt to gain forum rank by unestablished members.

To those who think it's a good idea to pollute our forums, take this into consideration:
At some point, if you're worth a damn, you will have to show your face at an Official AA game, and you WILL be held accountable for everything you say on these forums.

You are not merely hiding behind a computer screen!  A great majority of the posters on this forum are active airsoft players in Arizona, and hold themselves and their forum contributions to a higher standard.

Next time you want to start a new thread, or even reply to one, ask yourself "does this really matter, and is it worth typing?"

This is not a chatroom that exists to entertain your every desire to see your own words in script.  This is a place to share information, ask legitimate questions, and discuss every aspect of our hobby.

So, before the next time you take a shit on your keyboard and click the "Submit" button, take this into consideration.

If not, you won't last long, and will not be welcome on our forums in the future.

To all the productive members of our forum, do not entertain these types by replying to a necropost.  Moderators have an easier time deleting one post, than cleaning up an entire thread.

Thank you, and enjoy the forum!

Vice president uninjured in suicide bombing at U.S. airbase in Afghanistan; ABC15 News crew at base unharmed

By Chris Kline, wire reports
Updated: 2/27/07 4:19 a.m.

A suicide bomber on foot killed and wounded some two dozen people outside the main U.S. military base in Afghanistan on Tuesday during a visit by Vice President Dick Cheney.

The Taliban claimed responsibility and said Cheney was the target.

An ABC15 reporter and photojournalist embedded at the base with the Arizona National Guard were unharmed, but seriously shaken by the attack.

ABC15 reporter Karen Schaler and photojournalist Filip Kapsa were rushed to an emergency bunker beneath the base during the suicide bombing.

Karen has sent back a series of text message entries explaining the situation and chaotic scene. Click here to read them.

The blast happened near the first of several security gates outside the base at Bagram, north of the capital Kabul. Cheney's spokeswoman said he was fine, and the U.S. Embassy said the vice president later met with President Hamid Karzai in Kabul.

There were conflicting reports on the death toll. Provincial Gov. Abdul Jabar Taqwa said 20 people were killed, but NATO said initial reports indicated only three were killed, including one U.S. soldier and one coalition soldier. NATO said 23 were wounded.

It was unclear why there was such a large discrepancy in the reports.

Maj. William Mitchell said it did not appear the explosion was intended as a threat to the vice president.

"He wasn't near the site of the explosion," Mitchell said. "He was safely within the base at the time of the explosion."

However, a purported Taliban spokesman, Qari Yousef Ahmadi, said Cheney was the target of the attack.

"We knew that Dick Cheney would be staying inside the base," Ahmadi told The Associated Press by telephone.

"The attacker was trying to reach Cheney."

Cheney, who spent the night at Bagram, ate breakfast with U.S. soldiers Tuesday morning, Mitchell said.

The vice president later left Bagram for talks with Karzai.

Cheney traveled to Afghanistan after a stop in Pakistan.

On Monday, Cheney -- underscoring growing alarm in the West at how militants have regained ground in Afghanistan and Pakistan -- sought Pakistani aid to help counter al Qaeda's efforts to regroup, officials said.

However, Pakistani President Gen. Pervez Musharraf insisted his forces have already "done the maximum" possible against extremists in their territory -- and insisted that other allies also shoulder responsibility in the U.S.-led war on terrorism.

Cheney, accompanied by CIA deputy director Steve Kappes, made an unannounced stop in Pakistan Monday en route to Afghanistan.

The vice president made no public comment in Pakistan, but a senior aide to Musharraf said they held detailed talks, including a one-on-one lunch of more than an hour.

"Cheney expressed U.S. apprehensions of regrouping of al Qaeda in the tribal areas and called for concerted efforts in countering the threat," Musharraf's office said.

He also "expressed serious U.S. concerns on the intelligence being picked up of an impending Taliban and al Qaeda 'spring offensive' against allied forces in Afghanistan," the statement said.

The Musharraf aide, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he is not an official spokesman, said the two men "exchanged ideas and suggestions" on improving cooperation against terrorism. However, he said Cheney made no specific demands.

U.S. and British officials have praised Pakistan publicly for its role in arresting al Qaeda suspects after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks in the United States and for a string of bloody operations against militants along the border.

Five years after the Taliban's ouster from power, however, militants have regained ground in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

There are signs of U.S. and NATO frustration at Musharraf's limited success in disrupting Pakistan-based Taliban fighters, who are expected to step up raids into Afghanistan in coming months, and in trapping Taliban and al Qaeda leaders suspected of holing up in tribal areas of Pakistan near the border.

The Bush administration wants Musharraf to be more aggressive in hunting al Qaeda operatives, and has raised the possibility that the U.S. Congress could cut aid to Pakistan unless it takes tougher steps.

Musharraf told Cheney that Pakistan "has done the maximum in the fight against terrorism and "joint efforts" were needed if the fight was to succeed.

"The president emphasized that most of the Taliban activities originated from Afghanistan and the solution of the issue also lies within that country," his office said. The more than 50,000 NATO and U.S. troops in Afghanistan as well as Afghan security forces also share responsibility for policing the border, Musharraf added.
Cheney and Karzai are expected to talk about security along the Afghan-Pakistan border and the expected increase in violence by militants as spring thaws mountain snows.

The United States has 27,000 troops in Afghanistan. About 14,000 are part of the 35,000-member NATO force commanded by U.S. Gen. Dan McNeill. At Bagram, Cheney met with McNeill and Maj. Gen. David M. Rodriguez -- the commander of U.S. troops -- to discuss military operations, the security situation and reconstruction, said Maj. William G. Mitchell, a U.S. military spokesman.
