I think I might be out too. I want to go in the worst way (I haven't missed an airsoft game in months) but , it's a lot of money to go play for seven or so hours and then have to drive all the way back. Takin' three days off work, spending like, $500 , and then having to drive almost 34 hours just doesn't seem worth the patch.

I'm sorry I failed you guys, I was very gung-ho and 100% about this until like, I dunno, what, three days ago? This entire OP seems hastily constructed and poorly presented. How the f*ck am I supposed to plan for a game I am supposed to pay for tomorrow if I don't know anything about it? I'm real disappointed with John Ru. This was supposed to be a 3-day weekend game and now it's like, one piddly day?

We'll see...I hope there's more info tomorrow.

This, of course, by no means implies that none of you are going. If you wanna go, go and kick ass, represent this great state like true AA members. Just, without me.

I agree with Vince, I think John Ru wants to buy the wife a new car. So he threw this together in a whim.

Bad timing short notice, and only one day worth of game time = no go

thank god and Southwest for free tickets and friends in Austin so its costing me the reg fee and gas, otherwise I would be in the same place....

I am a little unimpressed with the fact that Texans can't handle a full weekend op though....

I don't think thats the case.  I think it was something he was trying to do for the local airsoft community in Texas.  Someone from those parts must have contacted him about trying to put a Best of USA Marketing game together over there.

Don't get carried away fellas.

Don't get discouraged by John Lu either.

From the way this wasn't publicized, to the small roster numbers, I don't think it was meant to be a large OP.

I think some of you jumped into this with both feet before all the info was recieved.  It's not too late to say "No, thanks John."

Like I said before, even if I could make this one, I wouldn't.  That's alot of money for a small game.

Well, I jumped in with both feet because it's a John Lu event, and I mean, look at his track record.

If someone said you could go watch Mike Tyson fight in like, 1992, without knowing his opponent, you'd be like, fuck yes, I'm down, right? Well, when it turns out his opponent is like, Rob Leatham and his 1911, well, then it turns out to be much less of an event. Oh well, you live and you learn. This just means I'm even more stoked for Lion Claws now.

Ive been thinking the same the last few days.  I looked at it as really breif and having to register tomorrow without even knowing all the details kinda turns me off.  This means I get to buy more kit for LCV and spend a little more at Shot.
