He's 14 but I don't think the weight will be too big of an issue.  You get the Wal-Mart bb's?  I didn't think they sold .20's there.  And everything I've read is that you DEFINITELY don't want to use the cheap, light bb's in the higher end guns.  I think I paid $25 for the last package of 10,000 hi-grade's, I can live with that.  Sure a lot cheaper than the real ammo prices lately!

NEVER buy wal-mart BBs. (Or any other sports store, like Sports Athaurity.)
They will split/break in the gun  and cause jams which can break a gun.
Only buy high quality BBs. I buy from airsoftgi.com for BBs.

That's what I thought and in my short airsoft career I've only bought the hi-grade stuff.

Yes, don't ever, ever buy bb's from Wal-Mart. You don't need to buy the highest quality, but using bb's from Wal-Mart is a huge mistake. Oh, and on the original issue of the MP5. Like everyone else said, go with CA; G&G is improving but CA has had so much more experience with this type of AEG. Hope this helped.

you could also just get a m4 bore and get a silencer to cove it up
i saw it done and worked good

It will look something like this:

The BLACK SIDE suppresser  covers the M4 barrel with about an inch to spare. Notice that the TAC light will not work with a suppresser, so I put a RIS on it a few weeks ago. Also if you get the full stock, Batteries + can custom make you a 9.6V battery that will fit with minimal trimming in the stock.

edit: 14 is fine with the weight, sorry if i seemed like a jerk, just defending myself

I don't think anyone is yelling at  you, they are just trying to help people protect their guns from improper bb's.  I think everybody, including me, assumed you were getting those crappy .12 g bb's in the bright colors they sell.  I was unaware that they sold anything else.

Thanks for the info on the SAW, maybe I'll surprise him with one when I get back from Vegas next week.  Of course, that depends on how well I do there!  :D

Be sure to stay away from the roulette tables!
I find more people do terrible on those than things like black jack/poker.
Last time me and my family went to Vegas (For a wedding) My dad won nearly $1,000 on black jack alone.

Well, based on everyones comments, I just got home from APD with 2 new MP5's, an A4 for me and an SD5 for my son.  As much as I like my Echo 1 M4, the build quality is immediately noticeable.  Haven't shot it yet, batteries are still charging, but can't wait to come out Friday night and give it a run.  Might have to wait until next week though, gotta get extra mags and they didn't have the bulk boxes of mags in stock.

Thanks to everyone for your suggestions.
