950-1000 rpm sounds like a cookin' ROF with an 8.4v pack!  With a 9.6v, it would be insane.

It looks nice.  The fact that it's select fire is encouraging, and the initial velocity is comparable to a stock AEG.  The mechbox looks to be a solid design as well.

Does anybody have any links to some better pictures?

Dont know about taking out a brand new gun(new design) to an OP like LC IV
It would have to prove itself to me first like 3-4 small outing first

I'd take it, but most not likely use it, if that makes any sense. It would be a true test. If it can live through this game, it should be able to live through any small skirmish we can provide it here. Hell, i probably won't be able to afford it before LC4. I'm sure there will be reviews that *might* change the mind of alot of people. Being a big M14 fan(not as big as AKs though :D) hopefully it deserves the label of an M14.

Sarge, i dunno about the gearbox. I'm sure they have tested it, but what problems is it prone to that they don't disclose. I wonder if it is all the normal stuff, just looks different externally, or are they using different types of gears(like the ICS M4). There will be lots of aftermarket M14 parts coming out soon. I wonder how much extra magazines run...

place your bets:

1 year,1 month, 1 week, or 1 day? o_O

in all seriousness, when you get one, get a good review up quick. Anyone find a CONFIRMED date yet, instead of coming soon? I bet upgrades are a serious biatch to do...

I'm definitely going to hold off until some hard data gets put up on the G&G M14.  There's new intel coming in about Hudson's gun that looks interesting, and I want to wait and see what kinds of accessories are offered.  I'd like to see standard- or mid-cap magazines for the gun, for starters.

BTW, having played around with a real-steel M14/M1A for a few days now, remember that the M14 is a BIG gun.  If y'all are used to an M4, you're going to have to do some serious adjustment when you transition.

HAHA, I was just gonna say something like that to my friends.  I have the M16 Vietnam Version (AR-15 w/e).  And the m14 is longer than that I believe.   Oh well, I cannot wait to Spend $600 on an AEG :-/

I've been around Garands alot, never had a problem with their size. I think the M14 should be no problem.

I've shot both, though the Garand was a while back.  While the M14/M1A is lighter than the Garand, it seems to me that it's a mite longer.  Probably the flash suppressor.

Mind you, I'd be willing to trade in the M4 I check out at work for an M14/M1A any day of the week.  'Course, I haven't tried to go on a big hike or chase down folks carrying that big mo'fo either.
