AK Lovers!!!!
« on: February 26, 2005, 08:30:30 PM »
I have become very board. However, there is an issue that has been bothering me all week, so I thought I should post about it. I was wondering just how many people out there have an AK of some sort, and prefer it over an M16 varent any day.  8)  I am sure that there has been similar posts like AK VS M16/M4. However, state your reasons for why you have one, like, dislike, or dont have one at all!!!  But most of all, I wanted to find out just how many of my fellow AK loving Brothers or sisters are apart of AA!!!!

Yea, I like the overall look and feel of the gun.  It is very balanced with the battey in and shoots nice and straight. Suprisingly so for the the extremely windy day that it was. Just one thing: A 8.4v 3000 mah battery is the ABSOLUTE largest battery you can fit into the stock. I have one and there is barely any extra room.

The only reason I like the AK is because it's so freaking solid. Otherwise I would take a g3 varient.

I have owned 2 AKs(i still own one). I have loved every one of them. I am looking into another AK right now, just sorting out how it will be payed for ect. So basically i will have owned all the AK variants(stock ones that is, no kits). Currently looking into stockless AK. I prefer AK over any other assault rifle on the market(real AKs too, who cares what anyone "thinks", usually they have no evidence to back it up.). It is a well build airsoft, and real weapon.

I kind of know what you mean I have an AK-47 full stock with G&P/ Prime metal body, and all the internal upgrades. I ordered a Guarder wood kit, and soon I will get a Guarder rear sight too. But I have a stock AK-47 beta Spets Naz, and I just bought another Ak-47 which was partly converted from S-type  except for the wireing so I am going to reconvert it to an "S".

you know what... its this simple.

ak's beat any gun out there in almost every way.  they've existed for 70 years, and probably have another 70 to go.  sure as hell will beat out the M16 (we're just about through witth those anyways).  you can treat em like shit, and they'll just keep on going and going and going... like the little engine that could.

My M16 is still better than the RPK, but not for long.  Once I get that thing finished, it's going to be Amazing.  Airsoft AK's feel sooo solid, but I still needed the metal body :P, and the Spetz is really cool.  I may get one of those down the road.

Yeah, but I think the AK gives you too much of an inkling to "Spray and Pray" all over the field because the words AK-47 makes you shake in your combat boots, but a nice M-15 with a scope and stuff gives a more classy feel, and one that will make you more cautious, and probably victorious. You don't feel like being sloppy with one of the those things.

I have a 9.6v battery in mine, but it had to be custom configured because of the extra cell. It looks something like this: http://www.tokyo-model.com.hk/trade/productview/568

That is ridiculous, and it's all in your head.  The way you play is up to you, and the weapon you use has nothing to do with it.

Back on topic, now.  If we're talking stock TM AEGs here I would definitely go with the AK.  It is simply a more solid platform.  There is no barrel wobble like the M4s have, and the solid stock holds a larger battery.  It has a very high rate of fire, and is made of more metal parts than the M4.

I still bought an M4 initially, just because I wanted one.

Some of you guys get too visceral with your AEG selection!  I know guys that use AKs, and they prefer them due to their superior characteristics, not because it "strikes fear into the enemy", or "makes them feel like the can spray and pray".  That's just crazy talk! 8)

I've got an AK beita, which I love. The thing rules, it's so.. comfy! They're extremely accurate and have a great rof. After playing with my brothers m4a1, I'll never get an m4. Now, the ak's are a different ballgame. They're perfect.

I just hope that STAR makes the short mags at low capacity, that'd be cool. I'd get tons of those.

In the future I would consider picking up an AK for scenarios where I am playing a bad guy or IF, but other than that I would not use it all the time..It would like kind of retarded to have a bunch of US gear on and be wielding an AK, although I have heard alot of operators pick up guns from IF and use them. I remember hearing about this one squad of guys during Vietnam I think that were made up of vietnamese and US army who wore non-country-specific uniforms and always carried guns not specific to any country. They did recon in North Vietnam...Although I could be wrong. It was on the History Channel a  while back.

Studder.....Was that a TM m4? Maybe thats why you don't like it.

Those who have their choice of weapons sometimes choose the AK.  For ghey airsoft recreations of "a-guy-I-saw-a-picture-of-on-militaryphotos.net", AKs are cool too.

I bought one because I heard they are great AEGs, and I needed a gat to go with my "Frank" costume!
