I'm making a high speed loadout and I'm wondering if you guys can offer any suggestions (specifically in knee pads that would be good for sliding on)
-
From what I have seen any plastic like material on the knee pads help you slide a lot.
-
The shellback banshee tactical vest is great for high speed loadouts cause its small and light. I use one for my highspeed loadout. run triple m4 pouch across the front and I also use a tactical belt with fast mags
-
Blue force gear makes a nice high speed chest rig with 4 built in mag pouches on it.

it has M4 pouches on there, but I'm using an MP5. do you think I cram 1 or 2 MP5 magazines in there instead?

They also make one for sub guns which would work for mp5 mags

Check Kilmans Ghost sale, he has some plastic faced kneepads reasonable, $7.00

What is the purpose for you high speed load out? Do you want to move quickly and have nothing in your way? To access your mags quickly or your secondary weapon? What works for me may not work for you. Practice over, over and over again with all equipment and weapons will speed up reaction time and movements. Without more information airsofts or exp cannot answer your questions. My 2 cent . I should not ask but Why are you trying to slide??? ;D

This couldn't be any more wrong as info, Its called a High Speed/ Lightweight load out for a reason. Sure you can practice with your gear BUT a guy with 10lbs of gear as opposed to 35-40lbs of gear is going to be faster by far. As for sliding I slide a lot in games to get behind cover it, its faster and you can pop up faster to return fire

i'm talking a lightweight loadout perfect for CQC. i go to vanguard frequently and it's comprised entirely of CQB, so i need to be fast. walking tanks are an easy target. and about the sliding, it's how i breach a room, i run as fast as i can so i'm low and harder to hit, yet I'm get into the room so i can take out hostiles

Wouldn't it just be easier to throw a thunder b into the room you want to breach? It sounds safer anyway, don't want to hyper extend anything, its just airsoft.

(I know it may sound stupid) I hate it when people just be cheap and throw a grenade into the room and either no one calls hits or everyone is out because of a crappy grenade. i like the feel of knowing i took them out one by one. and also running onto your knees is good for sliding past an entrance so you can shoot targets while moving to cover

It's not cheap, its called tactics. The right tool for the right job.

Gonna have to agree with him there, besides its not worth messing your knees up, this is supposed to be fun and games, not a reason for ACL surgery. Airsoft really lends itself to a lot of leg/foot injuries in the first place, sliding around like that is like throwing rocks at a bee hive. Besides if people see it enough, they will just aim lower whenever they know you're playing ;)

i know, i understand tornado grenades shooting out BBs where you can feel if you're hit or not, but with thunder Bs you can never tell if you would have been hit by the "shrapnel" or not. it would be appropriate if there was a way to gauge who was hit or not, not just you're out for being in the room

Generally speaking, if you're within 15 METERS of a grenade going off in the open.. you're out of the fight no matter what.
Either you're deaf, blind, traumatic brain injury, broken ribs/chestbone from the concussive blast, burned badly, or the shrap has gone straight thru any various parts of your body. Hence, the often used 15 foot rule.
If you're in an enclosed environment, say a room.. you're dead/out of the fight either way for the same and more reasons.
In airsoft, we limit it to 15 feet usually, which is mostly down to just scaling RS down to airsoft standards I'd presume.

The LBT 6094 Slick Plate Carrier is pretty cool, and "High Speed". You can find replicas on various Asian based Airsoft Websites.
-
I have a TAG Banshee which is small and light, the trick for high speed is not loading up too much gear, bring the essentials only. belts are nifty as well.

Sorry for the necropost, but I must say.... Jumpable Plate Carrier and a short barreled M4... nuffsaid
