Echo 1 M14 gearbox binds up
« on: January 19, 2011, 12:02:01 AM »
I have an Echo 1 M14 that out of the blue seemed to lock up with a 9.6v. Decided to put a battery with some guts to it(11.1v 30c) to see if it would turn over and it does, but at a very slow rate. Like maybe 8 rps. Any suggestions or ideas before I take the time to open it up?

I would say you have to many shims if you have to many shims it applies unnecessary friction to the matchbox. and its an echo1 that also might be a problem

My apartment is infested with koala bears. Its the cutest infestation ever. Much better than cockroaches. I turn the lights on and a bunch of koala bears scatter. I\'m like, come back! I want to hold one of you, and feed you a leaf. -Mitch Headberg

I don't think that could be the problem. I haven't opened the gearbox and the problem just happened, it hasn't always done this.
