Won't be in effect until 2016 at the earliest. More then likely won't happen anyway. The Military isn't fast to adapt. And this goes beyond the above postings, from barracks, training methods, standards, and hygiene.

If it was as simple as "cause I said so" there wouldn't be anti racism, anti sexism, and yearly EO training already.

Easy to legislate on the way out the door.

Attention all - waivers maybe required, if so I will have them on site and they need to be done at chrono.

Range Control will not allow current US military issue uniforms to be worn aboard PPMR. Cheapest easiest thing for anyone to do is good old WOODLAND BDU for green (maybe an investment of $20.00 for top and bottom) or 3 COLOR DESERT DCU for tan. (Again easy to find at any surplus store) or get a tan non-nomex flight suit for $20.00.

Active duty, reserve, and Guard service members can wear they're issue uniform. Game control will figure it out from there. Worse case all service members can roll around with myself and my Soldiers in the side by side.

Uniform requirements equals base layer clothing - pants/trousers, coat/blouse, and cover/cap/hat. Your gear color is up to you. I recommend not wearing all black, besides looking retarded you'll die from the sun.

Typical, and people wonder why airsofters get made fun of. This kinda douchebaggery is why.

Also anyone planning to attend to take pics. I have 2 road guard vests, and a few yellow power belts to lend out. That way you don't get blown up.

Not trying to be a buzzkill here. But to justify using the land navigation ourse, under age means 18 years old, if younger your with your parent the whole time.

Justification is that this is a Recruiting event. I have to work within the parameters of the target market for enlistment, 18-35 for non prior service and prior service people up to age 46.

Sorry but the last thing we need is my CSM sending me to JAG to explain why kids are playing BB-gun war on the land navigation course.

So if your under 18, and want to play your parent has to play right next to you.

There is no parking at the front gate. You'll have to Carpool from your house. Sorry, unless you want EOD to blow your car up like a VBIED.

Enter the throught the North gate on Bushmaster. Take a right at the roand about. Follow the road to the end, take a right onto the airstrip. Drive down till you see my red red pop-up. Parking is right there.

Side notes:

Drink water - its going to be hot, and I'm the only Combat Life Saver assigned to the event, I haven't done a stick in almost 10 months.

Trash - if you brought it with you, bring it with when you leave. If we have to get "on line" and do a "basic training police call", we will.

Picture ID/Drivers Lic - You have to have a valid ID to enter Papago Park Military Reservation, that means everyone in your vehicle. As well as have current tags and and insurance to drive aboard PPMR.

Have fun, take pictures.

If any team wants to bring a side by side or rhino, feel free. Just make sure whoever is riding has proper PPE. We'll be using the Guard-SOV again.

25
It worked out. The heat index was a bit high. Locking on PPMR is alot easier then the MOUT site. I like the Battlefield format. When we took off in the Guard-SOV to go capture a flag it was pretty awesome! lol

At this point just show up make sure you chrono on time and fall in with the Russians. You'll be assigned a squad/team ect from there. Drink Water!

Accessories & Gear / Re: Real or replica helmets?

Honestly I can't tell a weight difference with replicas and real. The chin straps and pads suck in the fakes, switch that out with either a replacement issue set (rangerjoes.com) or go big money and buy a super nice kit. If you get the issue pads do not wash them with soap. The sponge will soak it up and everytime you sweat with it on you'll have tide in your eyes.

Bonus cool points if you spray paint it snake skin.

I'm sure you'll be accepted for the Russian cause.

Go through the north gate. Take your first right (heading north) airfield will be on your left. Fallow road all the way back, there will be a small arms range on the right, take a right on the black runway. Fallow road until you see 2 National Guard pop-ups 1 Blue 1 Red.

To confirm. The FARP will be basically in our parking lot. We will be getting buzzed all day. I'll be there early to coordinate a traffic control point and how it effects us if at all. There might be some air assault practice missions going on as well. They won't be in our AO though.
